Okay, but not as good as other Julie James books

Maybe I got spoiled reading Julie James' other books, but this one was just not as good as her previous books. The characters were very likable, but very predictable. The younger half brother wasn't in my opinion a believable or realistic character. Overall this is a pleasant read, but her prior books are a much better bet.

A proper adult Romance

What a lovely, easy read. I loved the characters, enjoyed the witty banter, appreciated the wonderful friendships, and really took pleasure in the development of the romance between Brooke and Cade. So mature, so adult, so natural. Nothing forced or inauthentic.

The audiobook is great if a bit slow paced at 1x. I listened to it at 1.5x speed and it was perfect (for me).

Great Humor and Developed Story!

I love that story is has romance, fantastic humor, James' trademark snappy dialogue and a touching story of abandonment, forgiveness and new beginnings. I love how James keeps the prior stories connected and give updates on what's happening with her books previous characters!

Great Series

Where does Love Irresistibly rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book ranks up at the top of the audiobooks that I have listened to. This particular book in this series ranks the highest in my opinion. The story just grips you. I have listened to this audiobook several times and it still gets me. This book is very well written. I love how this story covers deep emotions ranging from life long friendships that were forged from childhood to overcoming hardships and discovering happiness in life.

Better than most

What does Karen White bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

You get a real feeling for the character, you like or hate them. When reading you are not
as engaged in the individual people.

This series is great, in that the plots are all different but still similar in theme. Interesting
people with interesting problems. Great listen.
