Publisher's summary

Lindsay Willows craves a simple life. One where she can make a difference without drawing too much attention to herself. As the daughter of both a vampire and a fay, the cards were already stacked against her. Finding out she's the supposed mate of a dark fay prince doesn't help matters - especially when there are those who will stop at nothing to prevent her from mating with a prince she's never even met.

When Exavier Kedmen, the incredibly sexy front man for a world-famous band, shows up wanting her to go back to a field she left three years ago, she can't explain the strong feelings that surface for a man she barely knows. Lindsay finds herself confronting demons from her past, coming to terms with the ones in the present and finally looking forward to a future with the man she was created for. And she discovers evil doesn't care who it hurts to obtain its goals but even the evilest of things fear something, or in the case of Exavier, someone.

WARNING: This book contains hot, explicit sex and violence explained with contemporary, graphic language.

Refreshingly Different Paranormal Romance

Mandy Roth is a new author for me and I can say I enjoyed this paranormal story. I was intrigued from the beginning, although, I was confused at times. My confusion stemmed mostly during all the action in this book. Serious none stop action! There was almost too much going on. The heroine was constantly in battle with a multitude of creatures. They all want her mate, the prince of darkness, the one she actually hasn't met yet(so she thinks). The premise of the story was interesting and different. I don't want to give any major spoilers away. Lets just say the book had potential to be great. There were some problems with the story but none that destroyed my overall enjoyment of the book. My first problem with the story was sometimes the heroine acted really clueless.  A guy shows up who carries some major similarities to your childhood love with the same first name, but with a different last name. It never occurs to you that it might be the same guy?? Really? The next issue is why did Exavier's mother keeping information from him all those years and why wasn't that explained further in the book. Either way, Exavier was extremely hot sexy and their chemistry was out of this world. Mates destined to be together even though everyone is trying to keep them apart. A nice refreshing plot with quirky characters, lots of action, sexual tension, magic, and all sorts of paranormal creatures. I will continue with the Tempting Fate series if it becomes available.

Unexpected Find! Totally awesome story!

I didn't expect this... But boy I am glad I found this... So close to 5 stars, but narration could have been a slight better... Although good and acceptable, I wish there was more of a distinction between male voices..

Ok.. The story started kinda off the wall with a werewolf attack... It was a bit confusing but the dialogue was so good u have to keep listening.. Then u find out more about the awesome heroine and u literally just cannot put this book down..

She is the mate if the dark fae prince, whom she has no idea who this prince is.. All manner of bad people r trying to kill her so the prince can't mate her...

In walks hotty Mac hotty lead singer of the band loup garou! Ok.. We all know something is up with him.. But the way the author write the dialogue between the supernatural characters ( heroine and her friends) to try to disguise the craziness from lead signer hotty! It is so funny, so hot, and at times so full of action.. I was totally shocked!

The stripper dance class was so good, it really set the chemistry up between the heroine and hotty Mac hotty lead singer!

This is a credit, buy or sale.. So worth it... Enjoy!

could not listen to any more of this book

Have you ever met someone that just grated on your nerves? The characters of this book grated on mine. While the characters interacted well with eachother, they seemed to exhibit a distinct lack of higher reasoning skills. In short I would love these characters in small doses, they were funny after all. But I could not stand another minute of them getting sidetracked from life and death situations and not seeing threw obvious falsehoods. About an hour into this audio I started skipping threw sections but the bad decisions just kept coming. Finally I quit.

The narration was good. The voice seemed to bring the characters to life. Pleasant to listen to at first, but as I grew to dislike the characters the voice seemed to grate on me too. lol. I would listen to the narrator again in another book.

Mediocre read

I've read/ listened to much better and unfortunately much worse. Story was decent, pace was good, narration could have been better. Narrator sounded as if she was trying be sexy and had just left a class on proper diction. I found her just plain annoying.

If Only There Were Negative Stars

I cannot begin to count the ways of how terrible this is. I cannot think of one redeeming quality. I am going to have to think real hard before I buy another romance novel. I don't know what I was thinking anyway.

A totally Supper charged Awesome book !!

Any additional comments?

Loup Garou is a supper charged sexy paranormal romance with an exciting, action-filled plot. Mandy took me on a totally thrilling ride. Lindsay and Xavier have known each other as children but were torn apart. Now, Xavier has come to claim his love/mate and no creature will stop him. Lindsay is no meek female, who needs a man to protect her, although she is struggling with emotional pain and the continued battle against those who attack her. Rachel Vivette's narration was perfection and i so hope Mandy will have more books released on Audible. They would be an automatic download for me.....

If you could sum up Loup Garou in three words, what would they be?

Action, Shapshifters, Sex

Who was your favorite character and why?

Lindsay she was so out going, head strong and funny when she was not reliveing her passed

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes this book had it all it's funny parts it's sad parts and it's oh my god parts.

Any additional comments?

I really hope this is book one in a series. The story line is great for a series it has fey, shapshifters, vampiers, demons, sex and action I think it needed a bit more action and fighting the bad guys but still great book. Plus I would love to here more about what happens with Lindsay and Exavier.

It was okay.

First book I've read from this author. The story overall was interesting, but I had a few issues with the couple. It was annoying that Lindsay couldn't put two and two together until later in the book about who Xavier was to her. It was annoying that she didn't let Xavier get a word in to explain anything and then yells at him for lying to her. And the situation with Ian was just weird. I like the narrator though.

DARK HOT PARANORMAL ROCKERS

I have mixed feelings about this book. It was a decent paranormal romance and I found myself liking Mandy Roth as an author the more books I read of hers but some aspects of this book I find extremely difficult to believe.

Pros:
The book contain a decent amount of action. It was just enough for the listener not to get bored.
The characters are well developed within the story each providing their own tragic back story.
The angst between the hero and the heroine is heartbreaking in it's intensity but also heartwarming. Loving someone for that amount of time and to such a degree that no one compares is both tragic and poetic.

Cons:
Just because someone changes their last name and grows up, doesn't mean you forget how they look. I understand you have been through some tragedy in the last three years but seriously, you have no idea who this man is to you. I'm not going to give away any spoilers, but it's suffice to say, I caught myself thinking a couple of times, “are you really this stupid”.
What about Exavier's mom? Why did she do what she did? Will that question ever be answered?
The narrators voice sounding as if she was reading an YA book at times and then a truly great paranormal romance book at other times. I wish she would had stuck with the latter more times in the book.

Bottom line, I don't know I'm on the fence with this book. I purchased it because it was on sale but I don't think I would us a credit to purchase this book.

Good and Yet.....

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I just don't know.

Would you recommend Loup Garou to your friends? Why or why not?

I don't know if I would recommend this to a friend. Honestly, as I listened, I had a fight with myself about why I continued to listen. The dialogue was stilted and written so formally, that it made many of the characters wooden. But there were moments when it was great. Knowing that this was the first book, I feel as though there's a possibility the writer might get better, or at least get an editor that has a clue. The premise behind the story could have been great, but the telling of it, and the frustration from the utter stupidity of the lead female made it hard for me to want to get the second book to see if it gets any better. I think I'll need to take some time before I'm willing to give more money to see how this turns out.

Any additional comments?

I did think the actress that read the book was great. She managed to work her way through some truly awful dialogue and still not make me hate her. So, that counts for a lot in my book.
