New narrator please!

While the story was pretty good, I could not warm up to the narrator's way of speaking the parts. When it came to the romance parts he gave me the creeps. No more of this series for me.

Still lukewarm for Shadow Ops

Book 2 brings more to the table. But it just doesn’t really do it for me. The trek through the VA mountains in the middle of blizzard is drawn out and to me lacks the emotionally drama that the elements would definitely cause. Basically it was more of boy I really like you but I am afraid to tell you. And I won’t trust anyone because my husband was shot in the line of fire. And then there are just stupid things that happen like, oh the bad guys are after us but let me stay in town and get captured.
What is disappointing is I like the characters Ryan and Vinnie but I didn’t like how the story developed. The premise of the story was there, it just needed I guess better editing?? Still hanging in with the series because I am interested in the potential story of the leader of this covert group Rose. I hope the author goes for it with all the grit and passion this serious has the potential to reach.
