Publisher's summary

Like most mothers, Amy Reynolds has anticipated the moment when her son brings home his first serious girlfriend. But when he does, she’s shocked to meet the girl’s father. He is none other than Nick Lowry – the college boyfriend who captivated her heart and soul and then, without a word of explanation or warning, disappeared. She still remembers what she felt for Nick…and she still wonders what took him away from her.

Life has been good to Amy. Her marriage is satisfying, her teenage children thriving. She loves her beautifully restored home and her work teaching at the local college. She has long since buried her memories of Nick. But now that he is back in her life, she can’t help recalling the beach where they walked and kissed and pledged their destinies together some 20 years ago. She can’t help missing the young woman she was then, full of passion and promise. And she can’t help being tempted by the life she might have lived…might still live - even though making that choice would betray all she holds dear.

Sweet Sad Plot

Excellent Writing. Sweet sad plot that you know in the beginning must end sad in some way or the other. PG17 my disappointment was due to the lack of grace-knowledge. I wanted so much for someone in the book to know redeeming grace. But the writing is very good!

SAD

The author writes and knows this subject well...losing a love and being committed to other people when it is "found" again. For me this book was soo sad though because it was a sad set of circumstances that separates these two people - and though it ends perhaps as it should morally, it just left me feeling sad.

The unending love

It was a beautiful story. Bittersweet. I recommend it. Lost love found again and all the consequences.
