Publisher's summary

They're here.

They ride.

They are the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Born of a match between good and evil, four siblings stand between hell's minions and everything they want to destroy. They are the Lords of Deliverance, and they have the power to ward off Doomsday . . . or let it ride . . .

In Lethal Rider Thanatos, the most deadly Horseman of the Apocalypse, has endured thousands of years of celibacy to prevent the end of days. But just one night with the wickedly sexy Aegis Guardian Regan Cooper shatters centuries of resolve. Yet their passion comes with a price. And Thanatos must face a truth more terrifying than an apocalypse - he's about to become a father.

Demon-slayer Regan Cooper never imagined herself the maternal type, but with the fate of the world hanging in the balance, she had no choice but to seduce Thanatos and bear his child. Now, as the final battle draws closer and his rage at being betrayed is overshadowed by an undeniable passion for the mother of his child, Thanatos has a life-shattering realization: To save the world, he must sacrifice the only thing he's ever wanted - a family.

Book 3 Rocks, But Not the Narrator!

This is Book 3 in the Series, and its just as good as the others - interesting, complex, unpredictable - everything a book should be and more! Larissa Ione is really an amazing author, and the Lords of Deliverance series is just brilliant. The heronie, Regan, is a bass-ass women, even while pregnant - you just love her. Thanatos is not the typical hero - he is covered in tatoos and has a dark edge, but he is very compelling and attractive.

The only downside is the narrator. UGH! I don't know why they changed the narrator in the middle of the series, but Erin Bennett was a bad choice. It was hard to tell what character she was doing, and I found her to be very boring. She is also the narrator for Rogue Rider - the last book in the series - which makes me angry. I had to talk myself into listening to it, but I really love, love this series, so I will suffer the bad narrator, again.

Performance kind of dull

I think a guy should have narrated this story. Erin just sounds like a girl, and the same girl. The first two were pretty good, with the narrator at least trying to do different guy voices. And these are supposed to be the ultimate males. All of these sound the same in this book with the new narrator. Kind of detracts from a great story.

4.5 Exciting and thrilling

Would you consider the audio edition of Lethal Rider to be better than the print version?

Not sure. This narrator was not one of my favorite of the series. I wouldn't have an opinion either way.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Thanatos! He is betrayed by so many, and I was rooting for him the whole story!

Would you listen to another book narrated by Erin Bennett?

Maybe, I think it would depend on the author.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It definitely made me hold my breath in a few places in anticipation of just where the story was going to go.

Excellent, as always.

Love this series and don't forget the novellas. They really add to the overall story. The true first book in this series is Pleasure Unbound. It starts with Eidalon, one of the sem brothers and the head doctor at the underworld hospital. Continues with his brothers and sister. Then these books with the 4 horseman, then next is the Angels starting with Reaver. But don't forget Azagoth one of those novellas. Finish one book and you can't wait to read the next, which I'm reading & listening to this series for the 7th time. Love it

Narrator sounds like a robot

The narrator isn’t the worst ever but about 85 percent of the time she sounds like a monotone robot. Really not a good fit for this type of book.

horrible narrator

The story line is great. The flat narration makes it hard to follow and stay interested. Most of the time you dont know who is speaking until well after they are finished. Have to rewind the often

ALMOST DEATH DEFYING

Lethal Rider was good, not quite great...and the change in narration was a big part of it! I really miss Hillary from the last two books...Erin was pretty much reading the whole time, and very monotone in my opinion. The characters were easily confused, and she didn't display much emotion. I was not impressed!

Thanatos and Regan's story however, is still a very good one, despite the narration. In the beginning Thanatos is still pretty angry about Regan's betrayal, and Regan, on the other hand, can't forgive herself for what she did to Thanatos. After spending time together though in the last week of her pregnancy, they start seeing each other differently and begin to realize that they are good for each other in so many different ways. Wether they take the chance to find out what it can be is up to them, and it becomes uncertain in many instances.

At the same time, there is a lot more betrayal that happens that you don't see coming at all, not to mention they still have Pestilence and preventing the apocalypse to deal with. I can honestly say at the end, I was beginning to give up hope, but it doesn't disappoint!

So, it is on the the last one, which should be interesting considering it surprisingly focuses on Reseph. Hmmm.... ;)

Should not change the narrator

The story was great and very entertaining. After listening to the voices created by Hillary Huber in the previous books in the series, this one was a little disappointing. Narrator was fine but the characters Hillary brought to the series made the stories so much more fun to listen to.
