A VERY WORTHY 5 STAR LISTEN

Why o why do I love sexy bad boy stories so much? Whether they're Rogues, Bikers, Vamps or Rockers I'm officially hooked. I can only think that it's the optimist/romantic in me that hopes just the right girl will come along and kick then save his sorry but beautiful ass and, in the process, they'll give me an entertaining and enjoyable story of just how it was done. Well, this is one of those stories and it didn't disappoint.

Off the rails, tormented Jimmy needs sassy kick-ass Lena but he doesn't want her, not in any way, not as his PA, not as his friend and certainly not as his lover..... but eventually he needs her in all three ways. This was an emotional, heartbreaking, hope-filled and touching story that had quick witty banter/dialogue and tells of their sexual chemistry, the slow progression of their romance and the inevitable passion, sex and love that followed. It was also great to catch up with the news from the other blissfully happy members of the band.

Worth a credit? Well it had everything I needed.... good story, great characters, smexy times, romance and lots of tension filled dramas, so YUP another credit well spent on the crazy but loveable band members of Stage Dive and I'm eagerly waiting for Ben, the sexy Bassist's story next.

Another Fantastic Stage Dive Novel!

You really cannot go wrong with this series, I fell in love with this author in the first book, listening to Davie's story - the hot guitar player.
My obsession grew with the second book (you cant help but fall in love with Mal) and now I'm completely on alert for all future novels that she releases!
Let me tell you that I listen to several audiobooks from category a week, and this one (this series) checks all my boxes for making it an epic listen!
Narrator is awesome! She does the other character voices amazingly, she isn't annoying at all, love her.
The writing, combined with the narration had me laughing so hard out loud at some points too- which is quite rare in a book!
Mal is such an amazing comic relief in this series, this book made me want to go back and listen to the first two books again because now I remember how great this series really is after having to stay up all night to finish this wonderfully written book 3.
Now I can't wait to get Benny's story- I hope it comes out soon! I need to know what happens with that guy already =)

Point blank- add it to your cart, using your credit on this book is so worth it!

Laugh out loud

Loved the narration by Andi Arndt. Laughed out loud several times during the story. Liked that all the pervious story lines played supporting roles. This could be read as a stand alone story, but knowing the back stories from the previous two books worked well too.

I love Kylie Scott, but....

What made the experience of listening to Lead the most enjoyable?

I love Kylie Scotts' writing. She is funny, witty, and smart. Her novels are always amazing.

Any additional comments?

Jimmy was a less developed character than Mal and David. I don't feel like he ever liked Lena...then boom. Poor development. What a crappy ending. Seriously everything but the ending was dramatic. ANTICLIMACTIC

BAD BOY LEAD SINGER WITH A HEART OF GOLD

This book of the series, so far, is my favorite because of how heartbreakingly real the story felt to me. This book wasn't about a drunken, forgotten weekend in Vegas or a partly planned scheme for appearances (although both were fantastic in their own right), this book was about a man, broken, alone and hurting and a woman that refuses to give up on him when the world and said man have called it quits.

Jimmy, the lead singer of Stage Dive, is in need of a new assistant. Since going to rehab for his drinking and drug abuse, Jimmy has been desperately trying to stay clean and sober. He has no other choice. He is either clean or out of the band. He is arrogant, moody, closed off and refuses to share anything with anyone, not even his own brother David, the lead guitarist of the group.

Unfortunately for Jimmy he has meet his match with Lena. She was once discussed by an ex as being complicated and untouchable, which will be perfect for Lena when dealing with “the moody damn rockstar” (her words not mine). But soon after starting the job, she is exposed to a side of Jimmy rarely, if ever, seen. This opens up a flood of questions and feelings, she never wanted to have for the “arrogant prick” (again her words). Now she is face with the decision, should she stay or should she go, because going hurts just as much as staying and Jimmy is determine to make her stay.

There are a couple of parts of this book that I cried because I seriously felt the characters pain and anguish. I mean love can be a difficult. But more often I was laughing out loud. Lena is hilarious and Kylie's writing of the character is pure perfection. She give the main heroine just the right amount of sass and vulnerability. She also makes you want to love to hate Jimmy. One point he is being really self absorb and a total jerk. The next moment he is baring his soul for only Lena to see and feel.

Please read this book, its really really good. My favorite of the series if I haven't said that already. But if you haven't read the previous two books, I would suggest start with Lick first. Each book can be read as a standalone but are so much more delicious when read in order. ENJOY!!!!

Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy...

Another deep feel good fight for love!

I wasn't sure what to expect from Jimmy's story... I mean from the time he messed with Eve in book 1, I was primed to hate him...

That was before we met Lena. She is everything good to Jimmy's everything bad. I think this was a fitting for Jimmy. He had to deal with his demons before we could believe he was worth the fight! He messed up a few times, he threw fits a few times and he was funny as hell trying to push Lena to date but doing everything to destroy said dates! He refused to let her go. He fought his feelings at every turn. Finally Lena was fed up and heartbroken and walked away. Jimmy did what he always does... only this time he stopped and turned around to get what was his and what he wanted.

This was a healing book, not only for Jimmy but Jimmy and his brother. Jimmy and Eve. Jimmy and the rest of the band. Most of all we learnt there was more to Jimmy then what we expected!

Can't wait for Ben's story. I have a feeling it's all about forbidden love! Yum!~

BEST BOOK OF THE SERIES SO FAR!!!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

YES!!!! This was really good...this series has been fabulous so far!

What other book might you compare Lead to and why?

It is a rocker romance...I know there is many..but this is a good one!

What does Andi Arndt bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She is a good narrator....very easy and fun to listen too!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I would love to see this series on the big screen!

Any additional comments?

Lena is Jimmy's sober companion/babysitter/assistant....and she has a big crush on his angsty. difficult. gorgeous self! She tries to quit, and he will not have it...so she confesses she has inappropriate feelings for him...he laughs it off and is bound and determined to make her forget about those feelings...but deep down, he wants Lena...and he wants her bad...he finally takes her...and when she lets it slip that she may love him, he freaks out and almost ruins it all...Will they make it, can she tame him? Listen and find out...Hands down best book of the series so far!! On to book 4!!!
