New York Times best-selling author Tanya Anne Crosby makes her contemporary fiction debut with a novella about life and love in the Lowcountry.
Hoping that saying goodbye will be easier if she can connect with her gram's beloved childhood home, Annie Franklin chose July 4th weekend to bring her Gram's ashes to Folly Beach, South Carolina. Thanks to one very intuitive dog and a handsome stranger, Annie discovers that 'letting go' has as much to do with embracing the present as it does with shedding the past.

Satisfying Short story
The dog Lady because of her interaction with the hero and the heroine and how it made the story flow.
I liked all of his character performances. They were all rich and rewarding
It was a nice quick easy listen
I really liked the way Braden Wright brought Tanya Anne Crosbys characters to life
books are my drug of choice :D
Pleasantly surprised. This story is short, but sweet and satisfying. I just love Braden Wright's voice, the warm and tingly feeling I got with all his audiobooks I listened to. Annie and James are quite a pair, with a rocky start, a few twists in between, and a HEA, I really enjoyed it. Recommending with 5 stars.
I normally read/listen to Tanya's regency romances, so I was a little worried about if this contemporary romance would be my 'cup of tea' I am very happy to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's the perfect length for anybody who doesn't want to listen to a long book, and it was expertly narrated by Braden Wright. The story line kept my interest and it ran the gamut of emotions even though it was only a short story. It had it all. Very happy to have listened to it.
I loved the way it started out! I was pleasantly shocked and immediately drawn in! I loved both characters and having Lady front and center was awesome! The premise of the story was very good and kept me interested throughout! Jamie was so handsome and had such a sexy voice so I'd say the narrator did an outstanding job!! I thoroughly enjoyed this book!
I love Tanya Ann Crosby's writing & after reading this book decided to try the audio version for a road trip...I was not disappointed. This story has wonderful complex characters with a full story...I truly enjoyed listening to it & will do more audio books in the future.
I listened to this one twice. Why? Because it was so hilariously funny. It kept a smile on my lips. It also had some very poignant points where I was in tears. Sometimes I would be laughing and crying at the same time! Although a short story, it has a powerful message and just bunches of fun to listen to.
I liked the way the author wrote the story, not letting the reader know why Annie rented the house on Folly Beach. Even as I ask myself questions, she had me laughing at the whole ridiculous situation Annie and James found themselves.
Annie was a special thirty-four year old with a wicked sense of humor (obvious the author has one, too). Her plans for the week didn’t happen as she wanted. The universe had something else in mind.
Her dog, Lady, was her life, and she thought it was a mutual relationship. When she needed someone to discuss her problems, Lady would oblige her. But when James Heywood walks into her life (or perhaps one would say, she walks into his), nothing is quite the same. Lady worships the guy and Annie, well tags along.
There is a fine line between life and death and every surfer wants to own it.
The universe had been speaking to her and she was compelled to listen
To live we need to take chances.
We need to let go of grief.
This story jumps right in with both feet and all too soon it is over but the ride was so worth it! Fast paced romance that quickly reaches in and grabs your heart.
