Publisher's summary

Since birth, Lexie Berry has had nothing but bad luck. Orphaned at an early age, she had a rough childhood and a boyfriend who was murdered. Now the beautiful, stylish Lexie is determined to change her luck and her life. But first she's got to make good on a promise: To pick up Ty Walker from prison. One look at the gorgeous ex-convict and Lexie knows she's in trouble—and already thinking about taking a walk on the wild side.

For five years, Ty was imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit. Now he wants revenge on the people who framed him. Yet when the high-stakes poker player sees the leggy Lexie, he suddenly has other desires on his mind. Realizing that Ty is innocent, Lexie tries to stop his plan for vengeance and help him become a better man. But as Ty battles his inner demons, dirty cops and criminals plot to take him out, can he and Lexie find a way to escape the past?

Hit the ground running

I really grew to love this book Ty was a bit much with the silences & the ordering Lexie about but Lexie more than made up for it. She was the star & carried the tale VERY well. Another well done to KA & again an outstanding job by Ms. Taylor. there were times I backed up & listened to a section again because the writing & narration came together so well I wanted to experience it again.

5 Fantastic Stars

This book is like my second favorite book EVER. My first is Sweet Dreams.
I have read and listened to this book at least 3 times each ok lets me honest probably 6 times each. I am such a sucker for a good romance.

I <3 the way Lexie describes Ty. She makes me want to fall to my knees and.... Swoon get your mind out of the gutter. lol
"Mr. Humongo" This is my favorite nick name EVER! I mean it totally fits and it cracked me up but good.
"Total Goof" He is totally right she is and it's what make them fit so well together.

I can't believe how sh-it her life was before she meets Ty. And lets face is his life wasn't the greatest either until he meet her.

And there cars! I mean SH-IT if you a car gal then you would be swooning over just there cars!

This killed me "Your nightmare,my dream" I cried yep not bawling but I had tears again not a hard thing for me, I am a bit of a sap lol but yeah this line pops in my head every so often then I have to re read or re listen.

And last this part gives me the warm fuzzies because hello Ty and Tate!
"Love you, man," "Now, do those words work so you get what you did mean to me?" "I don't have a blood brother, but you should know there's a reason I call you that."
Those lines from those men make my heart warm. So yeah I Freaking LOVE this book!

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Great to read, even better to listen.

This is one of my favorites in the Colorado Mountain series. It is gritty, carnal and sensual. The entire story from Ty and Lexi meeting to the epilog makes it hard to put down OR stop listening.

It carries through with one of the reasons I love Kristen Ashley books. It starts off with a unique situation of Lexi picking Ty up. The story continues with their coming together, and them recognizing they connection and commitment to each other. It is set against a background of deception and corruption (by others). It is a well woven and complex story. I’d like to say more but I don’t want to include any spoilers.

Emma Taylor does an excellent job of narration. The voice she creates for Ty is awesome. Deep, gravely, just like the book describes. Her pacing and acting of the characters is first rate. I found many things to do so I could listen more. . . . longer drives to work, really clean carpet. . .

Now, when is Breathe coming out???? Please!

One of my most favorite

Would you consider the audio edition of Lady Luck to be better than the print version?

I like the audio book because I listen to it while I do house work, lawn work, and grocery shopping. I can listen to an awesome story while doing boring stuff.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Ty and Lexi were my favorite characters.

What does Emma Taylor bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Engaging and brings the story to life.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

All this authors books make me want to finish it in one sitting.

Any additional comments?

Oh my goodness. This was an awesome book. So much drama, and action.

Love. Love. Love Ty and Lexie!

I really, really liked Max & Nina and then Tate & Lauren, but man I couldn't help but fall in love with Ty & Lexie. A good friend of mine told me that they liked Lady Luck / Ty and Lexie best so I was a little prepared to like it more than The Gamble and Sweet Dreams since we have very similar tastes, but I didn't expect just how much they would capture my heart. Their relationship felt very authentic and real. Their romance was a powerful one that was full of admiration, understanding, acceptance, devotion, tenderness and very hot and steamy passion.

This is a beautiful story of two people who have repeatedly had crap handed to them in life, coming together when neither expected it and finding something beautiful, but too scared to trust it at times. Ty Walker just got released from prison after spending 5 years behind bars for a crime he didn't commit. Lexie does a favor for a guy so she agreed to pick him up and get him to wherever he needed to go, thinking it would be a quick and easy task. But Ty has enemies, he needs someone at his back, and he works out a deal with her to marry him until he does what he needs to do and once its done, they'll go their separate ways. But what she thought would be a simple pick up, turned out to be a crazy roller-coaster ride filled with corrupt police departments, road trips, past enemies, racist dirty cops, vengeance, betrayals, undercover agents, and in the middle of all this madness, finding crazy, intense, passionate love that sweeps them both off their feet.

One of my favorite lines;
Lexie: "Love you, Ty".
Ty: "Down to my bones mama, right back at you".

They easily became one of my all time favorite couples! 5 amazing, brilliant stars!
