Riveting, Captivating, Sexy

In my never ending search for a new book, I landed on these. I read some reviews all in all they looked promising and with Audible's excellent return policy I figured, hey no harm! So I started with Knight & Play which honestly is a strange name. That said, the book was good. Narration was great, I've heard this narrator before with no complaints.

So...the story...this is a more realistic story than many, aside from the billionaire (or whatever) sex toy king. There are real problems and real feelings, at least on Susie's part. This book covers just a couple of weeks so we really don't get to far into the meat of the story. That said, there are lots of sexy scenes and we see Susie come out of her shell and really grow and change.

Lucien is definitely a dominant lover and a tortured soul but this book doesn't delve far into the BDSM world. He owns several sex clubs but even with that the events there are mild in comparison to what they could be.

I like this book, I like the characters, of course I hate Dan but we are supposed to :)

All that said, I could have used a little more depth of character. I don't feel like I know Lucien much at all and really just have a surface view of Susie. I am going on to the next now...more on that one.

I loved this book but.....

Whew! What a steamy, sexy, erotic listen and I really liked the story but....the narrator sounded like the evil granny on SpongeBob Squarepants! If you can overlook this then you may enjoy. I haven't looked but I hope there is a different narrator for books 2 & 3 because I plan to continue on.

Lucien Hits Sophie

This story about Lucien & Sophie had potential to be extremely entertaining and occasionally humorous with 2 exceptions.

First, Lucien was mostly gentle and sexy except for the few incidents of sexual violence (hitting, bondage, domination). It made no sense that a normally good man would suddenly hurt Sophie, a woman he otherwise treated with warmth and consideration. The author tried to romanticize the physical abuse but hitting is always wrong.

Second, Lucien operated a chain of sex clubs in the UK, a business that exploits and degrades women (the men are never walking around mostly naked and being treated like pieces of meat). Lucien was still grieving the mother he lost to suicide at the age of 14, so he seemed inconsistent that he would have such a low opinion of her gender.

Sophie was sweet and appealing but had appallingly low self-esteem. She bounced from a cheating husband to a confirmed playboy who seemed more interested in sexual games than her personality. Sophie needed a backbone and the ability to set boundaries; she hopped on a private plane with a man she barely knew and had unprotected sex without a thought to her health. Where was her brain?

narrator ruined this for me

The story was ok but the narrator was so bad that I couldn't finish even the first book and since its the same narrator for the rest won't be listening to the rest

The narrator is the only problem I have with this audible. She narrates alright but it's slow, narrator and not the story. There where times I skipped over alot because it literally feltas though the story was dragging on slowly. Other than that I think the audible was just fine.

What a find!!!!! OMG!!!!

I can't believe this isn't sweeping around Audible as the best hottest new thing! There are three books in this series so far, the first 2 seem to be about the same people, Sophie and Lucien, and Audible has all 3! If you go to goodreads they have over 14 THOUSAND reviews and this book still has over 4 stars

Let me just say this book was AMAZINGLY good! We sometimes forget that erotica isn't suppose to be just about the actual acts...it's a state of mind, it is a seduction of the brain as much as the body and boy does this book deliver on every front!

Sophie Black is a bored wife...she has been married to her high school boyfriend for about 10 years and has barely anything to show for it. No kids, no pets, she hates her job and recently it's become increasingly more difficult not to notice that her husband is barely speaking to her, and not touching her at all. She decides she needs a change, so when she sees a job posting to be a personal assistant to the owner of Knight Industries, an adult toy and fantasy company, she decides to try for it. From the moment she met Lucien Knight she was swooning...but she is a married a woman so the swooning will have to be put on hold. Lucien is fascinated by the shy Mrs. Black who seems almost virginal...why would an innocent flower want to be around HIS industry day in and day out? She can't even say the word clitoris without blushing scarlet to her roots!

Things get SOOOO good from there and you just don't want to put the ear buds down. I am off to download book 2 because there was a bit of a cliff hanger and I am dying to know what the heck is about to happen!!!

*warning* This is a British writer, and narrator, and there is British slang used. I personally thought I would be turning this book off within 5 minutes because I thought I could never get over the accent and the narrator...but I have to say it grew on me big time and I got over it! But if you can't get over accents don't get this book. If you hate the idea of infidelity don't get this book. And if you think sex scenes should happen behind closed doors and barely written about...DON'T get this book! For all others...ENJOY!!!!

Knight and Play

I’ll preface this with, this was an audiobook and unfortunately the narrator was not a win for me. This highly effected how much I enjoyed the book. She sounded like an old British nanny and it was just weird for me, as I kept picturing an elder lady in the scenes...😕

I did enjoy the original, to me, storyline. I may consider reading the next book in the series but I fear the damage has already been done.

Book is a cliffhanger and I had to ask my self if I care enough to purchase the next in the series to find out what happens and initial answer was no. We will see if that changes when I have a credit to spare.

Sexy, Erotic love story

Jeepers this was hot and I loved it.

I have another BBF to ad to my growing list.... Lucien Knight - Mr hot alpha male.

Sophie applies for a job as his PA at Knight Inc which is all about the Adult entertainment industry. Her husband has been cheating on her and she hasn't been happy for a while.

Lucien opens her eyes up to a whole new world in her role as his PA and it is very tempting for vanilla Sophie.

Will she succumb to her bosses charms and give in to her desires?

There is a little bit of a cliffhanger at the end of this book but the final instalment is available so you won't be left wanting.

This is a very sexy erotic story and I couldn't get enough of it

Story is good but the narrator kills it, her voice just makes some of it cringey.

The sexy times were good...

While I put aside most things when reading a book, I wasn't able to do that with this one.

Maybe if the marriage was actually over prior to the sexytimes happening, it would have been better. The fact that it ends in a cliffhanger didn't help.
