Publisher's summary

In this New York Times best-selling erotic trilogy, a buttoned-up businesswoman takes her friend's advice and has a fling with a stranger on a trip to Vegas - only to find herself under his mysterious, sexy power both in the boardroom and the bedroom.

Kasie Fitzgerald knows who she's supposed to be. She's a rising-star-workaholic at a global consulting firm. She's the fiancée of a well-connected man who's won the approval of her parents. People know that she's reliable, serious, proper, cautious, pragmatic, and yes, a little predictable. She's who Dave and her family want her to be.

But as her 30th birthday looms, buried feelings begin to resurrect. Her friend takes her to Vegas for one last wild-and-crazy night. In a dress much shorter and sexier than anything she has ever dared to wear before, she hits the blackjack tables. And meets him. Under the tailored clothes it's clear that this is a man who is intense, powerful, and maybe even a little dangerous. With a touch of trepidation she accepts his invitation to get a drink, and before long, she's in his hotel room.

She never gets his full name. Perhaps his anonymity is one of the reasons she's able to give herself over to him and to the moment so completely. Perhaps it's why she's just had the most exquisite and passionate sex of her life. Shaken by her own behavior, Kasie tries to chalk it up to one crazy night. But when the mysterious gentleman she's just had a fling with shows up in her office - as the CEO of a firm her company does a billion dollars of business with a year, demanding that she handle his account, and so much more - things will never be the same again. And there's no telling where this will go....

What a night can lead to...

Kasie has suppressed her true personality all of her life due to a tragedy in her childhood and from her parents expectations. On a trip to Vegas before she expects to become engaged she has sex with a stranger resulting in consequences she never expects. Her life is forever changed.

This was a good listen and the author has a different flair of writing that I enjoyed. It does contain sexual content, so be advised. Definetly worth the credit.

My Wife and I just Listened

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Well, I certainly would recommend it to women. My wife was completely blown away by the book, not to mention turned on. But she was also drawn into the story. And you know what? So was I. I think I would recommend the book to men who have women in their lives. I should note, I suppose, that we also read the book on Kindle.

What other book might you compare Just One Night to and why?

I don't know about books because I have not read too many female erotic books - or any to be fair. But it did remind me of some films. "9 1/2 Weeks," "Body heat", and "Eyes Wide Shut" come to mind.

What does Grace Grant bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Is that the narrator? I thought she was terrific. I had kind of imagined the characters differently in my mind's ear - but it was fun to hear her.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There are many parts that made us both laugh. The author has a great sense of humor. I suppose there were some emotional parts, but mostly there was terrific energy to the book and the story. But I have to say, the eroticism of all these books were simply off the charts. Honestly, I thought y wife was going to have her heart stopped during some of the scenes. Glad I was there to help her though it.

Amazing and Different!!!!

If you could sum up Just One Night in three words, what would they be?

Amazing story line differs from the regular pretty shy girl meets hot guy..........

What did you like best about this story?

Different story line with a twist

What does Grace Grant bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I think Grace Grants gives her own emphasis on the story where it needs to be... She is a very good....

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Robert and Kassie break up and they are apart for months when he realize that he needs to be with her

Any additional comments?

Excellent listen!!! Also a terrific read... Read the trilogy before listening gives a different feel to the book

Like a Lifetime movie on steroids!

I've read some of this author's other books, but only the Sophie Katz stories. Based on the summary, I thought this was going to be a humorous read as well.

Yeah, I was wrong...

This book is like "torn between two lovers," except one of them is kind of psycho, and the other one thinks he's a god of sorts. And reliable, steady Casey really ... spends time on her two options. The book would have been shortened tremendously if the main character didn't just fantasize about having sex and just went out and did what she wanted and followed her instincts. I did predict how it would end as well.

the narrator did n excellent job of narrating. Her voices for the characters she used was constant throughout.

I will probably read more books by this author and with this narrator. I'll just know more of what I shouldn't expect in the future.

Boring, long, drawn out and a total waste of time and money!

I complete this book in a little over 4 hrs (yes, I know, the book is like 10 hrs long). The first part was good and I was hanging on desperate to see what was going to happen, by the second part I wanted to strangle Kasie.. 3 hrs in and I started skipping chapters. The characters were bipolar to say the least. It felt as if the author just started to wing it after a while. This book is a complete waste of money, DO NOT BUY!!!

Positive---- the narrator Grace Grant did a great job in making the listen a little less painful.

I TRIED REALLY!!!!

Would you try another book from Kyra Davis and/or Grace Grant?

Yes I would but not without careful consideration.

Would you be willing to try another one of Grace Grant’s performances?

I have on the Inside Out series and she is ok as a narrator, but on this book her voice was really annoying!

Any additional comments?

I really really tried to get into this book and enjoy it but by the 2nd phase I was so annoyed and frustrated that, I just couldn't take it anymore I had the need to SLAP somebody! The entire story line had real potential but after each setup and move, it just got further and further away from a good story line. Some of the stuff I felt was just a filler and I saw a little growth for Kasie but I truly wish the 3rd phase would have been more growth for the couple but no it was filled with unnecessary drama. Some may like this but this was not it for me.

Very interesting!

Any additional comments?

This book is definitely one of my favorites. There is a lot going on with this story. It's a major page turner! I love stories where the female lead becomes stronger at the end. This one was lengthly but kept me going.

Not very romantic!

I got this book because I love Grace Grant, she is one of my favorite readers. The book kept me interested and kept me guessing quite nicely. I liked it and hated it at the same time. Sorry if that sounds confusing but thats what it did for me. I liked that it wasn't your typical fsog copy cat but I just didn't feel for any of the characters, It was kind of like watching a pile up on the freeway, and can't help but look at the carnage when you drive by. GG did a good job as usual, this book could have been way worse if not for her. So theres my fifty cents take from it what you will.

This one had me up listening long into the night!

Kasie is a good girl. Engaged to the perfect guy -- she has the perfect job and an implied marriage proposal. So why when a friend suggests she sleep with a stranger during a trip to Vegas, does the good girl go bad? What comes of that encounter will turn Kasie's life, and the the lives of all those around her, upside down and sideways. This book is a tour de force of finding out who you are and what you truly want.

The romance was an intense power play between the ultimate controlling man and the woman who wants to control her own life. And the sex was HOT! The story was moving without being sentimental, and the complex lives of Ms. Davis' characters were laid out bare, and so much more inventive than the usual fare. The twists and turns had my jaw dropping over and over again!

I was glued to my Kindle for two days running. I loved it!

Just One Night is also the perfect marriage between a fascinating story and the perfect reader. Grace Grant is my all time favorite reader in this genre. Her voices are perfect, and her rendering powerful. I hope Ms. Davis gives us many more novels. Highly recommended!
