Publisher's summary

Jude: Reaching the top of the country music charts brings out the crazy, and there's no one crazier than my ex. Unfortunately, his threats to out me are escalating. Enter the bodyguard of my dreams.

I'd probably chafe under his constant presence if his attention to my body wasn't so...ah...thorough. Now I have to worry about outing myself to millions of fans if I can't keep my hands off him in public.

Derek: Now I'm an ex-Marine turned babysitter. If I have to hear Jude sing his mega-hit "Bluebells" one more time, I might murder him myself, and after six years in special ops, I know my way around a weapon. Unfortunately, so does he. Except his arsenal includes washboard abs and a killer set of pipes.

I've faced guns, knives, explosives and yet it's Jude Marian who may end up bringing me to my knees.

Fair warning: Jude and Derek's story contains frequent detailed scenes of man parts touching, little old ladies being inappropriate, and two lonely hearts coming together in perfect harmony.

While it can also be listened to on its own, Jumping Jude is the third in the Made Marian series. Each book tells the story of one of the Marian brothers' search for true love.

I'm really enjoying this series. I was so excited for Jude's story cause I just knew who his HEA would be from the previous books. These two were hot and had mad chemistry. I loved being in a stars life for a few hours. This family is awesome and I can't wait to hear more about them.

The narration was good, I like how Michael Pauley gives each guy his own voices.

Entertaining

Any additional comments?

Yes, This was a fun, funny, passionate, low angst romance...But it's Michael Pauley's performance that kicked this from being just good to a solidly entertaining great.

As a bonus, for those who love sassy, irreverent, and inappropriate older folks, there's more of Jude's family, including his aunt Tilly and Tristan's lesbian grandmother and wife, whom we first got to know in Borrowing Blue, with plenty of funny and cringe-worthy moments.

All in all I was entertained and look forward to more.

Did not disappoint

Once again this author did not disappoint me with this installment of the series. Keep up the great work!

Michael Pauley just makes the story come alive. I couldn't have hand picked a better narrator

pretty darn good

my cousin talked me into getting this book, I'm not a big fan of the narrator or the author, but I have to say this was a very good book I was pleasantly surprised that I couldn't stop listening. there are some super duper corny parts that made me cringe a little but I think the author was going for that reaction. the narrator was still not my favorite but he was okay, the story is what kept my attention.
there is plenty of great sexy times, and I like that we got to hear the points of view from both characters their emotions are relatable but there are some things that happen that made me go "hmmm?" that being said this book is worth a credit/buy because of the story, the narrator not so great.

Love of a bodygaurd!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I tried my hardest to listen as much as possible. It didn't matter that I had already read this story, hearing it was another experience that brought the men to life for me.

Any additional comments?

I have read all of the books in this series and am looking forward to getting the rest of these so that I can listen to them as well!

Narrator Accents

I liked the print version of the Made Marian books so much I thought to get the audio version of one of my favorites. I’ve enjoyed Michael Pauley’s narrations before, but he totally missed the mark on this one. Why does a guy from San Francisco have a southern accent? Why are all the female voices either a bad valley girl or a fake upper-crust manner?

Love the book, not the accents

Would you consider the audio edition of Jumping Jude to be better than the print version?

No, the print version was better. I found it interesting that the guy from California sounded like he'd been raised in the Deep South and the guy from North Carolina had no accent at all. I get they were trying to convey the country star, but it just sounded hickish and disrespectful to the character and the story. Not all Southerners drop their "g:"s. I so loved Borrowing Blue and Tempting Teddy and I thought the narrator did a fabulous job. I knew from his portrayal of Jude in those books that I was going to be annoyed. I love this book so much, I just think the narrator made some poor choices.

Jude and Derek

This is a great story, and Jude and Derek are terrific characters. I enjoyed the narration, though I wasn't sure why California boy turned country music superstar Jude sounded southern. This isn't my favorite of the series, but I do still love it. This author always gives me a couple who make me want to hug them, and this was no exception. This is a great addition to the Made Marian series.
