Publisher's summary

After she rescued us, I only wanted her.

After escaping Palzu's clutches, Jarick and Victorinth split up from the group and end up hopping on a train to land in a small town just outside of a larger city. That city contains one of the most secretive and powerful laboratories in the world, the Trojan Group.

They have been on alert due to signs of actual extraterrestrial life sensed in the vicinity. One of the lab techs, Madison, is able to track down the two aliens, leading to their capture.

At first, it seems as though the Orbas are just going to be studied, but Madison learns that some of the higher-ups in the group have been replaced with alien lookalikes who want to kill Jarick and Victorinth.

Madison is able to get them out of there without too much trouble, but the aliens are now aware that she knows they're hiding in plain sight.

They need to find a way to escape. In the process, Jarick finds that he really wants Madison. More than he thought.

Madison, too, starts to fall for Jarick. But can they really be together? She's human, and he's an Orba warrior. An alien!

Will their newfound love survive the ultimate test? Will they be able to escape the imposter aliens who have infiltrated the Trojan Group?

Jarick is the second book in the Warriors of Orba series, following the Orba warriors and the human women that love them. Each book in this science fiction series can be read as standalones. There are no cliffhangers, no cheating, and a guaranteed happy ending!

Loving this series

Jarick and his sister are in hiding and caught by their worst enemy, the jerk who took over their planet. Can they escape or will they die trying? Loved Lynnae’s narration.

Different

I got this book via audiobook boom. The narrator helped make the story. Madison was a good addition to the story. The narrator did not change voices for each character. The ending was anticlimactic. There was some humor thrown in but it fell flat. I did not listen to the first story and perhaps this one would have made more sense if I had.

Aliens on Earth

Jarick tells the story of Alien siblings and the human woman coming to their aid. Madison feels responsible for the aliens, Jarick and Victorinth, since she provided to info that resulted in their capture. This is a story to listen to if you are just looking for an escape from your own everyday life. It is science fiction, and I think it is meant to be taken as a fun book, though there are elements of drama, suspense and action. The love story has an abrupt beginning, but just enjoy the ride!
Technically, I had a couple issues with the audio. I'm not sure if it was my end or the actual audio, but the were a number of times when there were little skips or tiny repeats in the play. I took the skips as I would a typo in a print book. Also, there was a canned/tinny quality to the book. This was most notable at the beginning, so I adapted as I continued along. Neither of these issues were enough to detract from my enjoyment of the story.
