Second book in the series

Jared's book is so sweet, he has been holding a grudge against the vampire who turned Caleb, I love how he finally get over his anger. This book gives more background into the D'Nally clan. Fantastic narrator!! Hoping Audible brings Promise series to audio.

Hell's 8 please!!!

I like Sarah McCarty. I think she is a great writer. However, I didn't care for this series. I couldn't get past the "energy" between the vampires that was constant throughout the series. The narration was wonderful. I am a big fan of Tavia Gilbert and I know that she is good with voice changes for each character. With that in mind, I was able to listen to the story through to the end. With all of the options on the paranormal and vampires and werewolves, I think this series is mediocre. I would recommend the Hell's Eight series 10 times before this one. If you want a good vampire series with enjoyable romance and lust as well as action, try The Night Huntress Series by Jeaniene Frost.

Excellent plot...and the narrative is almost great

great story... but had to skip chunks between 5 minutes and 40 minutes long due to lack of plot progression. My advice is... jump to the next chapter in the instant the sex begins or you have had enough of it... the story is worthwhile... but there is simply too much fluff

Nice accent

In this story the female lead has an accent. The narrator does a good j9b of keeping the voice consistent through out the story.
Jared and Raisa have a very rocky beginning, middle and ending. Secrets make things difficult. She is on a mission for Sanctuary but it is so that she can save someone.
When Jared finds her going through the werewolve's office he knows that she isn't all that she portrays.

Not as good as Book 1, still good though

I think book one really set the bar kind of high... so my expectation was though the roof and this just did not mee them. I like Jared, but his female just did not live up. Plus when everyone find out who she was... well I think there should have been a bigger blow out... And I am bit confussed on her illness... I just don't get it...

This feel short a tiny smigg for me...but loved all the action and adventure...

Loving this Series

After the Caleb's book I was really looking forward to Jared's story. And it didn't disappoint. I loved this book just a little more than Caleb's!!!!

cowboy vampires redux

Jared is on a reconnaissance mission to the Sanctuary when he rescues a female vampire from attack. He decides to protect her against her will and finds she means more to him than he could have imagined.
Mostly ok if you’re not too invested in standard vampire lore, and are ok with some gaps in logic.
Gilbert does a good job of narration.

THE SHADOW WRANLER SERIES IS GREAT FUN!!

Another great book from Sarah McCarty. This is my third book and none of them have disappointed. Between Sarah McCarty as the author and Tavia Gilbert giving a fantastic performance, this audio book was a joy from start to end. It continually held your attention and showed me even more so, the joy of audio books.

Where does Jared rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This series by Sarah McCarty is addictive. I listen to audios to give my eyes a rest. But they aren't easy on my libido. Take the time to follow the four Johnson brothers into the 21st century. Make room in your life for fantasy, it helps tolerate reality.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Jared?

When he decides no matter what her past, Rai, was worth giving her his heart and soul. A Vamp can make you more human.

What does Tavia Gilbert bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her performance is beyond good, she gives you total characters including their deepest ability for passion.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

What didn't it do? Growing up with the Duke I don't expect tears in a good western, but I do want humor,anger and the need for revenge. That makes a true western a story.to loose yourself in.

Jared makes me want to find out how Jace and Slade for their mates. Two guesses what I plan to do all weekend??
