Jagger Caldwell is no one's hero. With a reputation for busting heads and breaking hearts on the underground MMA circuit, he lives for easy cash and easier women. But when he stumbles upon an all-too-familiar scene, painful memories awaken Jagger's sensitive side and compel him to act. As a kid, he stood by helplessly as his old man beat his mom. Now, Jagger won't let 17-year-old Tatiana Rand suffer the same fate. Nothing matters except saving her.
Tatiana is a prisoner in her own home, at the mercy of her violent father - until an unlikely savior bursts through her door and into her life. Six-feet-plus of tattooed muscle and raw power, Jagger is no prince charming, but Tatiana stopped believing in fairy tales long ago. Despite their differences in age and, well, everything else, the sexy bad boy sparks a fire that Tatiana never knew she had - and desires that only Jagger can quench.

Third Caldwell book. All three books overlapping and giving different points of view. Jagger protected Tatiana one night when her father was beating her. She was 17 so there was little he could do but sneak her anonymous gifts. She figures it out and eventually escapes her father. Jagger, wanting to give her choices, keeps his distance but like his brothers when he falls that's it.
A sweet steamy steamy story. The narrator did a great job with the voices and a Russian accent.
Highly recommend all three books and hope this team writes more! I'll buy them. Worth the credit worth the money and time. I will listen to them over and over from time to time.
I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook about a MMA fighter and a poor Russian born girl. The story begins as the hero, Jagger, stops the heroine, Tatiana's, father from continuing to beat her severely. Her father is a monster who treats her like a slave and physically attacks her for anything he thinks she does wrong. Though they moved to America when she was a baby, she hasn't ever left the apartment where they live. Jagger becomes a bit obsessed with her and worries about her father continuing to abuse her. One night after the worst beating her father ever gave her, she comes to and sees her father snoring asleep and decides to escape before he kills her. Going into the rest of the story would give too many spoilers, but there is a HEA and no cliffhangers. The narration was just perfect and Maxine Mitchell has to be the best female narrator ever. Her performance with the slight Russian accent was flawless and so believable! Joe Arden was the best voice for Jagger too.
I did love the stories but I disliked how repetitive all the stories were. There was nothing really orginal about the individual stories, abused woman, hot brother, day saved THE END. I did enjoy the series but I don't know if it's because of the double author thing that some parts sounded like repeated parts from the book before it.
Be the good in a world of bad. Love Joe Arden's voice.
Jagger beating the crap out of an abusive father.
Maxine Mitchell did an excellent Russian accent - kudos! I didn't love the character though- 17? really?
I am an avid reader, not a professional book reviewer. I gladly offer my opinion of the books I read/listen to.
I am a sucker for the MMA fighter who has only one weakness, his love for that one special woman. Jagger does not disappoint ... he falls hard for the young Tatiana whom he saves from abuse one fateful night. Of course there are the normal twists, turns, angst, jealousy and love. It is a perfect weekend listen ... Tatiana is a victim, but one with strength . Although I have not read the previous books in this series it was a stand alone with recurring characters from previous stories. It was credit worthy and definitely sale worthy. Narration is excellent with Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell's performance with a Russian accent was passable.
