I'm on a mission to get an artifact that can cure disease. I'm good at what I do, and I work by myself. I don't need a man.
To survive, I switched places with a stranger on a starship. I didn't know where it was going, and I didn't care.
She never told me she was a TerraMates bride. When I arrived, a sexy ex-military man was waiting for me, expecting marriage.
I don't need a man, but I want this one.

Audiobook Addict. It's all about the Listen. Mostly Romance, but I do branch out a bit. Reviews are my honest opinions-popular or not.
This go-round, we have a lovely, young archeologist who begs (and pays) to change places with another young woman getting on a transport to another planet in order to escape bad guys. Too flipped out about the possibility of getting caught, she doesn't allow the other woman to give her some pertinent information, so when she arrives at her destination, she is surprised to find her groom ready and waiting to get her to the Justice of the Peace for their wedding! WHAT? Well OK, she DID cheat him out of his mail-order bride, so she can help a guy out, right? Cue the baddies chasing her down and our newlyweds embarking on an Indiana Jones adventure where it's all fun and games until someone triggers the booby traps. Ven and Emmy were a sweet couple who complemented each other well. This was a totally fun, albeit not entirely original, addition to the TerraMates series.
Dual POV's were performed by Joe Hempel and Samantha Leatherwood who did an excellent job of breathing life into the characters. They are each good individually, and they made a good team as well. They made it fun and had good pacing, pronunciation and inflection which is awesome because those are the things that can take me out of a story, and it was so nice to get all the way through an entire audiobook without any distractions. Awesome job!!

Lisa Lace is such a talented author! I've really enjoyed listening to her TerraMates series. Each story clearly shows her ability to write unique, and captivating plots, that takes the reader to exciting and unusual planets, with very remarkable characters.
Irresistible was like Lara Croft meets G.I. Joe! Emmy's on a quest to find an ancient artifact before it lands in the wrong hands. If this artifact is found by the wrong person, it may never be used for the good of all. They are hot on Emmy's trail, and mean to do her harm. She must covertly dodge her enemies, stay alive, all while looking for the artifact. Emmy's desperate, and finds herself switching places with a TerraMate bride, and married to Ven, who's a sexy ex-military G.I. Joe. Ven has mad military skills; however, he also has insecurities. These two newlyweds find themselves on a dangerous quest in search of the artifact. Emmy will have to learn to trust and depend on Ven, while he must face and overcome his insecurities as his very life may depend it.
The narration was FANTASTIC! I've listen to audios narrated Joe Hempel, and Samantha Leatherwood, and there was never a doubt, I knew these two were going to deliver a great performance! I enjoyed their narration, and they made this awesome audiobook experience. Kudos!

I have enjoyed the TerraMates series, but this was my favorite. I liked how this started out as a typical TerraMates story for the hero, but quickly changed.
I liked how the hero and heroine came together. Overall the story had a bit of an Indiana Jones feel, but it was still very enjoyable.
I really enjoyed the reading. The two voices flowed together nicely.

The TerraMates stories seems to be getting better with each tale! The author is amazing! I was having a hard time putting it down!
Two strong and intelligent characters meet and the story picks up and takes us into a fun but dangerous adventure.
The narrators did an outstanding job bringing the story to life! The story is told in Dual POV.
Overall a great story brought to life by some talented narrators.

This review is from: Irresistible: A Science Fiction Alien Mail Order Bride Romance (TerraMates) (Volume 9) (Audible). And she does it again.......
Wow!!! Another one you can't stop listening to till it's finished! Venn was retired from the military and getting bored after two years and starting on the third year. He inherited money from a deceased uncle and had to get married quickly once he found out he had to be married by 30 years old or his inheritance would revert to a charity. He ordered a mail order bride from Terra-Mates. No one least of all Venn could've known what was coming his way. Emmy was an archeologist and worked with her mentor, Morley. They were in a race to find a ladle that had healing powers. Abel wanted to keep the ladle for his own collection. He sent men after Emmy once Morley was gone to kidnap and use her to find the treasure. Emmy talked Venn's real bride to be into selling her a ticket to escape Abels men. As soon as Venn saw Emmy he knew his life would never be the same. This book is filled with excitement, adventure and romance. This is an honest review in exchange for an ARC. Can't wait for the next one from Lisa Lace, my favorite author!

if I thought a previous Terra mates had almost a James Bond feel this one definitely has a female Indiana Jones feel. ancient ruins, obscure stories, danger, and romance weave together to make an excellent story. I was very impressed with the complexity of the story and characters. there is adult content and some violence. no cliff hanger.
I received this book in exchange for a review.
It took me a little while to warm up to the lead characters but once I did I could not put the book down. I would have given it five stars except for the slow warm up. There was plenty of antics throughout this book to keep you entertained and wanting to know what will happen to the couple next. This is part of the Terramates universe but can be read as a standalone although I highly recommend reading the other titles in this series.
Ms.Lace does it again! What a great story full of action and romane. Story moves well and keeps you wanting more. Great narrator's I thought they did a great job of bring the characters to life. Hope you enjoy!
