Fantastic!

Awesome! I had so much fun "reading" this one...I could not put it down. In fact I listened to it twice in 3 days, and I am not an avid reader! Suz writes in such a vivid way that I thought I was in the plot most of the time. Many of the situations were just hilarious.

I got to say, when I first started listening to Patrick Lowler (who makes Suz's books just GREAT to listen to), I kept seeing Decker and Dave (from the Troubleshooter series) in my mind because he used the same voices. It was kind of funny, but it dissapeared within 1 or 2 chapters!

If you have never read Suz's books, be aware of explicit passages.

Very enjoyable

I really enjoyed this book! The storyline was fun, romantic, and full of action. It's a love story, so of course it's a bit corny, but, hey, that's what you want in a romance novel. I recommend it!

Lisp-y

The story is great, but just a heads up that the narrator has a lisp. At first I thought it was an adaptation for a specific character, but the more I listened the more apparent it became.

Infamous

I almost didn't listen to this book because of the previous readers review... I couldn't find the lecture she was talking about Obama?? The references to the 1st Gulf War couldn't be about our current president - he wasn't even a Senator at that time!! I love this book - It will be ranked among one of my favorites - And I have either read or listened to nearly every thing that Suzanne Brockman has wirtten. I am sorry that the other listner was offened to a brief reference, but don't let that stop you from a great listen! I love to listen to anything that Patrick Lawler reads and if it is Suzzane Brockman - all the better! Don't let someone elses opinion hold you back - This was a great book!

I was quite bored throughout the entire book. Even the narrators got on my nerves by the end. Did not enjoy.

Great book

This was an entertaining book with complex characters, plot and sub-plots. Narration was fine, too.

This was one of my favorite stories

I read a lot of books, this one is one of my favorites. I will be looking forward to more books from Suzanne Brockmann.

More Patrick than Angela

Good $5 sale. If you are an Angela Dawe fan like l am, and loved her in Jennifer Cruise, Trust Me On This, then this book is for you. I love ms Dawe when she is a smart strong woman character as in these two stories. Her male and kids voices are why l am a huge fan. See Nora Roberts Sweet Talk, my all time favorite or Roberts the MacGregor series, none better.
I am not a fan of Patrick but he’s good in this story. This is a simple but entertaining story. Use 1.2 speed to best enjoy this one.

Trope defying awesomeness

I read this several years ago and wanted to listen to the audiobook. This is a mix of romance, humor, supernatural, mystery, & suspense with a bit of historical.

At 15 hours, this is the kind of book that many authors would break into a duet or trilogy – but Brockmann packs it all into one terrific audiobook.

I like A.J. (42) & Alison (30s) as characters and how they become a couple. Both have a great deal of baggage and emotional healing to work through. However, I found them particularly endearing.

The ghost of A.J.’s great-grandfather, Jaimie, is around to help set the historical record straight. He also provides quite a bit of punchy commentary as A.J. & Alison navigate their blooming attracting. While this makes for an adorable romcom – weaved through is a murder mystery that starts to pose a risk to many members of the cast and crew. Compounded by everyone assuming that A.J. has a mental illness so it’s difficult for them to believe the “insider” information from Jamie.

I really enjoyed the pacing as well as the action and romance scenes. It was just a delightful listen.

Narration:
I adore the performances by both Patrick Lawlor and Angela Dawe. They’re both so skilled at accents, character voices, emotions, and tension. I’ll definitely listen to this one again.

Great book even better audiobook

I love those two readers. I could listen to them for hours and I have. This is one of my favorite books. I have listen too it many times. I hope you enjoy it as I do.
