Publisher's summary

New York Times and USA Today best-selling author S. E. Smith presents another adventure filled with action, suspense, and a love worth fighting for.

Indiana Wild is as wild as the Montana ranch she was raised on. The youngest of four children, she was a delightful surprise for her older parents. She spends her time training horses and cow dogs and loving the freedom of the wide-open spaces. But when her grandfather dies, she discovers that her older brothers have different plans for the ranch she calls home - and for Indiana herself.

Indiana's oldest brother is determined to tame her and bring her to live with him in Los Angeles, where he can keep an eye on her and the money she is inheriting. He believes that with a little taming, he can control his little sister's wild spirit and find her a husband who can manage her. Furious with the court order giving her older brother guardianship over her, Indiana turns to the only place she feels at home: the wide-open spaces of Montana. She is determined to avoid her controlling brothers and their greed, even if it means hiding from them until they give up. An unexpected trip through Spirit Pass takes Indiana further than she ever expected - by almost 150 years.

Jonathan Tucker is as tough as they come. He and his twin brother have cut a successful horse and cattle ranch in the harsh Montana territory. When cattle rustlers try to steal his cattle and shoot one of his men, he is grateful to the young boy named Indy who comes to the rescue, even if the boy does have an attitude. The last thing he expects is to find that the "boy" is in fact an independent, freethinking, stubborn female who's not afraid to voice her opinion. She is as wild as the untamed land around them, and he is determined to make her his wife.

When Indiana is taken from him, Jonathan will do whatever it takes to bring his Indiana Wild home for good, even if it means following her into the future.

4 Indiana Wild Stars

Ok so I don’t know if this was in the blub or what not, but I always go in blind it is just how I like to read.

Well I was wondering if this was the right book. You see I picked it because of the Frontier category for a challenge I am doing and I was mighty confused then I got it, time travel! Yeah that was funny. I was all what is going on this isn't what I think then poof it made sense. ;)

So once I figured that out everything started to click into place.
I freaking LOVED Indiana she is a feisty one and she doesn’t back down from something she believes in. Strong willed is what I call it and I think that is what draws Jonathan to her. I like that he “tries” to get her to do things.. hahahah Yeah that ain’t happening. She is a smart one. Totally throws that back in his face.. hehe he has no choice but to see her for who she is and go with the flow.

And that is one of the very first things I loved about Jonathan he sees Indiana as someone different and he is willing to accept her. Made my heart melt when he really saw her.

Her brothers are evil! I can’t even when I was at the part with her brothers I was like this happens in 2013 still people thinking they can make people do what they want and who cares what you want.

I am intrigued at some of the secondary characters I might even keep up with the series. It wasn’t like normal Frontier books I have ever read before and I think that is what made it so interesting.

And Samantha Cook does a great job at bringing all of these characters to life. She was seamless.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Cute time travel novel

I enjoyed the book but the power the men had over Indie in both the past and the present made me grind my teeth. Love the concept of spirit pass. The narrator is awesome as is SE Smith.

great story line

nice story but felt like author was pushing explicit sex scenes involving some coercion over what was a wonderful story line.

Travel to the past and get something more. . .

SE Smith took us down the road less traveled and to an adventure. . . Indiana was nothing more than a pawn to her brothers to have what they wanted. To get away from it all she took off for the wilderness and found a new world and life that better suited her. Samantha Cook narrated this trip back to the past and back to the future. She added a level that lifted this story up and allowed for it to be enjoyed will continuing on daily activities. Listening to the various voices and diction during this smooth flowing audio just added more to Indy and Jonathan's romance. Pick up this journey through Spirit Pass.

Time Travel in the Old West

This was a treat for me as I read the book back in 2018.

The story like those by the author show her art of tale.

A ranch in the heart of Montana in the present day. our Heroine now wanted by a vengeful brother. Where or when can she go to at least escape for a while?

The Tucker boys have a nice spread and hire her on as a cowpuncher. Since she has to masquerade as a young lad till the boss man finds out, the the fun ensues 😀

Great performance by narrator

What other book might you compare Indiana Wild to and why?

There are other time travel books and this book compares well to many of them. It has an interesting story line and uses a good concept for explaining time travel. Indie is a modern woman who can take care of herself. Modern woman meets old west man who thinks he will save the little woman. There are a lot of laughs.

Have you listened to any of Samantha Cook’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is the first one that I have heard of Ms. Cook's performances. I truly enjoyed her performance and the way she used different voices for all the characters. She did an excellent job and I would listen to more of her performances.

Any additional comments?

There are vivid sex scenes in the book but it does not dominate the story. There are plenty of laughs. It is easy to love the good characters and it is easy to boo the bad ones. I enjoyed listening to the book.
