Evie hangs her head in sorrow for just a moment when she knows she is truly alone. She feels like she's going to her execution, just as he had said. Then she moves forward again. She hops a fence of fieldstone and crosses a field dotted with Queen Anne's lace. Goose bumps rise on her arms as she passes the cluster of windmills that she's seen in a dream. The scent is sweet in the field though, not the scent of heat, like it had been when it was forced upon her in visions.
She gazes down the hill, beyond the small, whitewashed house that she knew would be there. The church looms dark and grim with its rough-hewn, timber facade, capped by tall, oblong spires reaching to the sky. Black, ominous clouds have collected above the roofline, as if Heaven is showing her the way.

“Never laugh at live dragons.” ― J.R.R. Tolkien
I previously read the premonition series before purchasing the audio book. I love the audio version just as much. Being an Audio book fan there are a few books that I have purchased multiple times. I began this series with a discounted Kindle price. I quickly bought them to display on my book shelf and lend to friends. Once I realized they were finally on Audible I gobbled em right up! If you enjoy Urban Fantasy this book is for you. If you enjoy an author that can make you laugh, this book is for you. If you enjoy super hot guys that steal your heart and soul, this book is definitely for you. Start with book one and you will be here in no time looking for book 3 and 4! Emily Woo Zeller has found the voice of Evie. Im not listening to a book anymore, Im in the story experiencing it first hand. Zeller does a great job with an amazing story written by a Rock Star author!
I continue to really enjoy this series. I'm not sure I liked this one as well as the first two but it was still great. I love LISTENING to it because the narrator does the Irish dialect so well. I'm not sure I would like to actually READ that dialect. Every man that crosses her path falls in love with Evie --and it seems she loves them back!! Even though Reed remains her main squeeze, she manages to fit in others fairly well also. I look forward to seeing what the combined power of Evie and Russell evolves into and how she resolves the love her human half has for him. I am glad she bonded with Reed. I am rooting for him over all the others. I am sure we haven't seen the last of Brennus . ( please forgive any misspelling of names -- since I listen rather than read.).
Yes the storyline was really boring and Evie really got on my nerves. Goodness you can't save and love everyone. She keeps making the same mistakes over and over again: making a bad situation worse. For someone who played sport she is not a very good team player. For heaven sakes girl you are a new Angel who barley knows anything listen to the experience Angels and learn a thing or two and then fight fight fight. Reed was also a little overbearing still being over protective and keep Evie in the dark. He's been around long enough to know better. Loved everyone else which is why my rating was not lower.
Emily Woo Zeller was great as always.
I really enjoyed the first book and got through the second book just fine, but this I really didn't like thank goodness for Zeller performance because I would have stop listening if it was someone else reading.
I have 3 kids that occupy all the TV's in the house...enough said...addicted to audiobook ....shhhh don't tell my husband ;-)
Awww when is the next book coming out? Ms. Evie appears to be a divine catnip for all sorts of paranormal creatures. She is just so appealing that pretty everyone is trying to kidnap her pretty much site on seen. So with Evie being so alluring it really broadens the love triangle into more of a Bermuda pentagon of love triangles. With a war breaking out between the divine and the fallen it appears Evie just might be the perfect weapon. Of course the book ends abruptly and I am dying for the next one. This series is like catnip for me and I need another fix!
Bartols characters continue to develop even richer than before. Evie is a bit whiney and babied a little much by Reid but outside of that relationship the story is full of complex emotions, complicated relationships and imaginative themes. Love Brennis character development and "the family" part of the adventure. It's nearly a believable world it's so well done.
This series just gets more and more intriguing as you go on!!! Now THIS would make a far better TV series than Dominion!!! The characters and storyline are just epic!!!
Evie never gave up she came close, but as her powers grew stronger, her heart grew bigger, for all she came in contact with. She fought evil to keep her half human half angel soul.
She did a great job with the Irish Clan of vampire like creatures. Although the king was a bad guy, I began to like him.
Beauty and the Beast, which beast will break her?
Yes. It does a better job putting you in Evie's world.
Meetings in the Knight's Bar
Her accents/voices are amazing. She has a different Irish accent for 8+ people.
Indebted is the third book in the Premonition Series by Amy A. Bartol. It is YA urban fantasy/paranormal book told from Evie and Russell’s POV. Books must be read in order to understand the plot.
Indebted picks up shortly after Intuition ends. Evie, Reed, Zee and Buns are in China building and army to fight Brennus and Gancanagh. Russell and Brownie are making their way to them, trying to avoid Brennus, Fallen, and unenlightened Divine. Evie is evolving new abilities because of her mix parentage. She again is faced with protecting her friends/family from all the evils that are coming for her.
Just like the other books in the Premonition Series, it is full of action. Bartol writes some of the best action sequences in books. Her descriptions are so engrossing, it’s as if your almost there. Of course her book is balanced with humor, tension, and romance. She blends them seamlessly. Russell’s POV is used perfectly. His parts were heart wrenching and moving. Brennus is back, obsessed with Evie. There are new villains to face, Casmir and Valentine. Both are new types of evil that Evie hasn’t faced before. It’s a brutal learning curve. Plus there are new creatures to add to the story.
Overall, this book rocked. It had everything you could want in a book. There are so many details I didn’t realize in this book that forecasted storylines in her other books in the series. I was like amazed when it all came together. This series is a must read and are addictive. I read about 4-5 books per week. Sometimes I read so much; I need to clear my head. I need a book that has all the feels and that is comfortable like coming home. That’s the Premonition Series for me.
