Caught in what's become a deadly game of cat and mouse, her search for the truth takes her from the rain-slick streets of Paris to the sun-drenched isles of Greece. And as she gets pulled into a world of international espionage, Beryl quickly discovers that she needs help.
Richard Wolf, an ex-CIA agent and a man she's only just met, is her only hope. But in a world where trust is a double-edged sword, friends become enemies and enemies become killers.

"[Gerritsen] can rev up the action in a hurry." (Portland Press Herald)
Not what I expect from Tess but it was a no brainer Girl almost run over by man who 4 hours later she is kissing. Crime solved 20 years later and off they go. OK it was an easy listen, and it was a surprise who done it and reason. It was Paris and love is in the air.
This is not a review of the story or performance, rather the audio quality of the recording. I gave up after just a few minutes of trying to listen, the poor audio was just too frustrating to bear.
Again, this is not a review of the book, but of the poor quality of the recording.
Re-engineer the recording.
I love Tess Gerritsen, but this story was really lacking. Maybe it was because the book was more romance with a little mystery thrown in. Not a favorite.
I didn't care for the accent of the performer.
