When reserved flight attendant Bianca gets one look at billionaire hotel owner James Cavendish, she loses all of her hard-won composure. For a girl who can easily juggle a tray of champagne flutes at 35,000 feet in three inch heels, she finds herself shockingly weak-kneed from their first encounter. The normally unruffled Bianca can't seem to look away from his electrifying turquoise gaze. They hold a challenge, and a promise, that she finds impossible to resist, and she is a girl who is used to saying no and meaning it.
Bianca is accustomed to dealing with supermodels and movie stars in her job as a first class flight attendant, but James Cavendish puts them all to shame in the looks department. If only it were just his looks that she found so irresistible about the intimidating man, Bianca could have ignored his attentions. But what tempts her like never before is the dominant pull he seems to have over her from the moment they meet, and the promise of pleasure, and pain, that she reads in his eyes.

Loved this book. It is not extremely different from other books but I really liked it. I was hooked from chapter one. Elizabeth Powers did a great job of narrating the characters. I love the relationship between Bianca and Stephan. The love and support makes you just smile. I also like the twists and turns with Bianca and James. The fact that James can be dark, mysterious and sex and you never know what he is going to be keeps you listening. My only criticism is that audible does not have the next two books so you either have to read them or hope audible gets them. I wish they would not do that. Either get the entire series or none of it. This seems to happen a lot. Otherwise I think this is a great listen. Like I said it is not wow, crazy new concept but a really solid romantic love story with some twists.
I'm proud to be a bookaholic...addicted, obsessed, passionate!!! My favorite way to relax & escape reality....
My first thoughts before starting this book was that it must be a rip off of similar books in this genre. I can honestly say the story line does very much share the same vibe as Fifty Shades and the Crossfire series. Was it very original? No. Did I still enjoy it? Yes! The story begins with 23 year old flight attendant named Bianca who encounters the extremely good looking billionaire Mr. James Cavendish in the first class section on one of her flights. They both immediately feel a very strong connection between them and despite Bianca's reservations they begin a steamy hot love affair. After that, Bianca finds herself being drawn in the fascinating, frightening and exciting new world that James introduces to her. Along the way they each have to deal with the troubles from their past that keep haunting them. Bianca especially has been through a lot when she was growing up but even now still manages to stay strong while building a life for herself. Well, build one right beside her best friend Stephan. I just can't write my review without mentioning Stephan .....he is a wonderfully secondary character, his presence in the book provides Bianca with safety & support. He is not only her best friend but her only family. You can't help but adore him. Now lets talk about James, our male lead character, he is another sinfully sexy, tortured billionaire. He's a Dominant and very upfront about his sadistic proclivities in the bedroom. He's a very protective and jealous lover as well as caring and tender. The chemistry between them is off the charts, the love scenes are blistering HOT with light BDSM. Throw in the suspense elements and the uncertainty about the future, the author leaves us compelled to rush ahead to purchase the next book. In Flight is the first of three installments in this series.
I have read the story. I love to read the book first then list to the audiobook. I was extremely happy with the reader.
I love the characters.
Hot romance/Sci Fi we're so lucky to have Audible to feed our book addictions. I love walking my precious dog Sydney & listening to my books
Billionaire Doms. Will it ever get old? So far, I'm still enjoying them and Lilley’s take on it is exciting. Full of hot and kinky sex this book is very capable of bringing out goosebumps... Bianca is a flight attendant who has a dark past. When she meets James Cavendish, a young, enigmatic billionaire hotel owner, she is immediately drawn to his grace and his body. James is quite the character. He knows what he wants and he will endeavor to get it, whatever it takes. As Bianca becomes his most coveted possession, he soon learns that there is more to the woman than just her submissive nature and her pretty looks. They both share a dark past that makes the BDSM they share together that much more intimate and thrilling. While I liked Bianca and James together, it was Stephan whom I really, really loved. His presence throughout Bianca’s life is touching and incredible. I love how protective and caring he is. I am hoping that he gets his own HEA soon too.
I loved this book. Good story. It definitely reminds me of fifty shades but with new twists. If you're into tasteful erotic fiction, you will love this book. Waiting for the next one. :)
I've always been a avid reader so now I'm a avid listener. I prefer the paranormal genre but I do like to switch things up. It's boring if you don't have variety. Of course I do love the romance and the hotter the better. Also, you can't beat a good thriller filled with suspense and a ending you can't even guess at until the very end.
This one has everything I love in my audio book experience. I can't wait until the next one comes out. There's just nothing else to add. Use your credit or buy it because your going to love this one!!!
This book is pure gold to a reader like me. If your looking for a super hot romance, look no further...the only way this book could be better would be if there were more of it...and as it happens, there is. Book 2 is rumored to come out Jan 18, 2014. This book was well worth my credit! Just get it, you'll love it.
I really enjoy the world of books! Narration just add layers to that world... don't u think? :)
I love reading/listening to trilogy books... This one was really really good. I love how it had the same feel of a FSOG novel, but it was not a repeat of FSOG. Note I said it had the feel... the plot line was totally different...but the Dom and Sub aspect was done very tasteful...
Mr. Beautiful was a great character. I really can't wait to get to book 2 and 3. I hope there is not a long wait.
Well enjoyed... I feel like I didn't waste my credit at all.
Narrations was fairly decent too. Not a 5 but a very good 4.5!
Good Buy, Credit or Sale...
I am a lover of books. I enjoy losing myself in a fabulous romance and great story plot.
I've had this book in my Wishlist for a while, but wasn't quick to download since I thought it was the same old chip off of the FSOG block. BUT, I LOVE IT WHEN I'M BLOWN AWAY WITH SURPRISE!!! This book is stellar and I'm automatically downloading the whole series, whether through credits or by purchasing the rest of the books. Elizabeth Powers does a fantastic job, as a narrator, and I particularly love what she has done with James' voice. She portrayed Bianca's voice well also---very crisp, feminine and age-appropriate for a young woman.
WHOA…but, where do I start in regard to this book? OMG, it's well-written, the characters are super likable and have layers that you just want to peel off. Yes, there is sex, and the sex is all that you would expect from a BDSM-like relationship, but, what I enjoyed most about billionaire James Cavendish and Bianca (oops sorry forgot her last name), First Class flight attendant, is the romance (YUP plenty of that), the casual moments where you see them fall in love, AND I loved how Bianca wields a great amount of unexpected power/influence in this relationship. It would be assumed that Julian would hold unilateral power with Bianca since he is the rich, gorgeous, sexually experienced lover who is a dominant, yet, from the beginning, Bianca maintains a power in this relationship and I LOVED IT.
I was also taken in by Bianca's beautiful friendship with Stephan, her childhood friend, only family (even though not blood-related), neighbor, and fellow flight attendant. The story behind his nickname for her (Buttercup) touched me….whoa, but overall, this book touched me. Both, Bianca and James have a chemistry that is ON FIRE, a developing love that was so vibrant, and helpless horrible pasts that are sure to meld them even closer together. We get snippets of each of their traumatic pasts.
Throughout the book, readers/listeners are awarded with this blissful, exciting, crazy-sexy kind of love, and it almost makes the reader drunk with the expectation that, "Mr. Beautiful" and his gorgeous lady are on cruise control shooting toward the stars, and then BAM…toward the end you get hit in the stomach with a new revelation. The epilogue sews it together a bit, but there is more to come and I can hardly keep my seatbelt on through this turbulence!!!!
5 STARS FOR ONE SEXY, HOT ROMANCE WITH DEEP CHARACTERS YOU WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT…..LIKE YESTERDAY!!
She was just okay, i think the story was really bad. Male voices weren't great. She sounded like she had an excess of mucus.
A flight attendant who can paint, why isn't she a painter? A least she has one talent
I really wasn't feeling this book. Even the character's inner monologues were shallow and uncomplicated. The writing was bad. Also, never open a door if someone is covering the peephole. Especially if you are the type of person to install bars on the windows and doors and to pay for a security system. Moron.
