Almost one year ago, a Mage attacked Silver and changed the course of her destiny. Immortals exist, and now she is one of them. Within the dark and supernatural city of Cognito, Silver is living under the watchful eye of her Ghuardian and dating her mortal enemy. Neither man can protect her from a dark secret, one buried within the contents of a box. As rival factions struggle to gain control, she finds herself in the middle of a centuries-old feud that threatens to drive a wedge between her and Logan Cross, the man who intends to seduce her. In an explosive turn of events, one life is saved and another is forever altered. Can Silver trust those around her, or are they hiding a dark secret of their own?

"Action packed, non-stop roller coaster of deep emotional connections, fabulous witty banter and characters you can help but love . . . Impulse had it all." ---Tome Tender
Impulse is another fantastic read! This third book in this series is apply named IMPULSE. In this book we get to see more about Silver and her birth, childhood and the reasons she tends to not do what her impulses tell her to do sometimes. There is a lot of action in this book when it comes to some fights and with the romantic relationship between Logan and Silver. This book also reveals more about Justus and his background which helps us see why he treats Silver the way he does and why he only has sexual interludes with women. Of course it was great to read more about other characters like Simon, Adam & Finn. I also enjoy some new characters like Christian and Leo. Moving on to book four of this series right away. Must say again that Nicole Poole did a great job in narrating this audio book.
This series just gets better, with a great cast of characters Nicole Poole brings to life. Silver finds out about her origin, who her family really is, and starts to trust again. This is an ongoing struggle as her new family widens in this installment. Nero is still a threat, Adam faces new obstacles, Silver gets a new opportunity with bodyguard included, prejudices become apparent when Logan and Silver try for a relationship, and Justice faces off with an old nemesis. A good series for sure.
I simply do not know why this collection is yet not famous as Vampire Diaries, Twilight and 50 Shades of Grey; while it may even be much better!
In my opinion, a good story evokes emotion. It'll make me laugh, angry, or cry. But it can't just be words on a page. It has to do something
THIS story unfolded in unusual ways. Parts were really steamy. Parts were really funny. Thumbs up.
If you like paranormal books, than this is a great series. It just keeps on getting better and better. Silver, Justice, Simon, Logan and Christian are characters that keep getting more complex and interesting as you learn more about their past. I like how the story is about mages, vampires and shifters. The dynamics between the breeds keeps things interesting. There are always twists and turns to the book and the banter back an forth between the characters is so much fun. I love how Nicole Poole can create so many distinct and amazing voices. She brings the story to life.
I will listen to all 4 again. I usually listen for distraction while I am in the gym. This showed a lot of creativity. The part about relics need some work. It was contradictory, but most series seem to run out of steam near the end. They all seem to take a shortcut.
This series is original and so easy to get wrapped up in! Dannika Dark takes you on a series of journeys where the fantastical breed are many and much more than the vampires and werewolves and all intertwine in a world where they are unknown by most humans. I can't wait to see where Silver ends up next and watch these immortal characters develop. Honestly, would love to see this picked up as a TV series by a premium channel like HBO. Could be an even better replacement for True Blood now that it's ended!
