Fun, funny and hot read/listen!

Bella Andre has done it, again. If You Were Mine is the 5th book in The Sullivans series and it is every bit as good as the first 4. I absolutely love that as the series progresses no book suffers. Each book has its own individual story and can easily stand alone. But, it’s much better read in order. This is simply because she refers to the previous couples and we get a peak at their progression. I listen to this book in audio and love how Eva Kaminsky narrates this family.

Zach Sullivan has been duped. His sweet, little niece needs a puppy sitter. A little guilt and a lot of pleas Zach finds himself as the temporary owner of a little ball of fur. After all, he’s such a sweet, helpless puppy. How much trouble can he be? Hah! Zach has been saddled with a mini demon and needs help fast.

Heather Linsey loves dogs and is living her life’s dream. She owns a dog training business and takes it very seriously. That’s why when she’s asked, as a personal favor from a client, to work in a special case she doesn't hesitate. When she shows up at Sullivan Auto and hears a big, grouchy man yelling at this poor, little, helpless puppy she knows she did the right thing. What kind of monster is this guy?

It doesn't take long for Heather to see how sexy and sweet Zach really is. The two of them find an instant attraction that they are trying hard to fight. Zach doesn't believe that he has any kind of future with a woman. He lost his father at a young age and everyone says he’s just like his dad. He just can’t let anyone else suffer the same fate that his mother did. In one of their great conversations he learns that Heather does not believe in forever after he can’t imagine his good fortune. Who wouldn't jump at the chance of a fling with the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen? He doesn't expect that his feelings are much stronger than a fling until it’s too late and he’s reeling from it all.

This story was so much fun. I absolutely love the antics of the puppy and how he befriended the much larger dog that Heather owns. I could totally picture the pair of them playing. It was so funny to see Zach learn to train the little guy and heartwarming to see him fall in love with not only the puppy, but the puppy trainer.

Each character had fears and parts of their past to overcome, but it was so worth it in the end. It actually brought tears to my eyes as they struggled to work it out.

I love the series, I can't wait for the next one to come to Audible! When I want easy listening and a heart warming story, mixed with characters that I came to know, along with new ones, I reach for The Sullivans, EVERY TIME!!

She is wonderful for this series, I couldn't think of anyone else reading it.

50 Shades?

This book is so much like "50 Shades of Grey" one would wonder which book came out first.

Puppy Love

Gabe, Zach's brother, requested that he care for their recent adopted Yorkshire puppy, Cuddles, while he takes his family on vacation. Zach, the only one whose schedule is open and could not come up with any excuse. Problem is a bachelor has very little patience for a puppy that chews his shoes and runs off.

Heather, owner of a dog training facility was walking her Great Dane, Atlas, when they came upon the puppy, Cuddles, hiding on Zach. Heather was less than impressed with Zach and his charming ways. Zach signed up for puppy training lessons in order to get Heather's attention. The only friends made were between the two dogs.

As expected Zach charms Heather on a date to a baseball game, but she will soon finds out everything iinvolves family or is owned by family. Will Heather be able to keep away from Zach's charms?

Bella Andre's series is charming and her characters are likable but I find the stories very slow in development. It can take me months to read one book versus a few days or week. Andre ends very strongly and with a teaser for her next book.

I really like Bella's stories. They are so down home and pretty true to life.

Another hit for the Sullivan family series

Zach is a mechanic. Okay he owns 30+ mechanic shops and is independently wealthy. When Summer foists a puppy on Zach to take care of, well the story opens up from there. As usual the plot is great and the twists that go around it make it interesting. Heather, the dog trainer, is a handful and is quitre endearing in this novel. Yup, its a bit formulaic in parts, but who doesn't like a puppy! Especially a puppy as great as Cuddles. I also liked they way she used a metaphor of Atlas and Cuddles. You'll have to read this one to know what I mean here.

Kaminsky does a great job. People who are hooked on the series won't be disappointed. Go back and read them all. I want to see how all the family members pan out. A Big thumbs up.

A Yorkie and a Dane, what a match!

Where does If You Were Mine: The Sullivans, Book 5 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It would be in my, what a lovely, romantic, lift me up story pile.

What was one of the most memorable moments of If You Were Mine: The Sullivans, Book 5?

When Cuddles misses Zach and vice versa. I can just imagine the big man missing the tiny little Yorkie especially when his heart feels so fragile at that moment.

What does Eva Kaminsky bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I think she brings it ALL!!! She's a wonderful narrator. So creative, so believable so talented. She makes the story and the characters come alive!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Well it made me laugh and cry. I think the characters were meant to be and it was just a very enjoyable book, through and through!

Any additional comments?

Ready for the next one!!!

Love these love stories

Only disappointment is that the books aren't long enough. A little far fetched at how quickly the characters fall in love and propose to each other, but it's a fantasy love story, so you have to just enjoy it.

Gave up!

Would you try another book from Bella Andre and/or Eva Kaminsky?

No. I tried this book because it was on sale and because it had high reviews. I was not able to finish this book. The characters were flat and boring. Granted, I have not read the entire series so maybe if i had read the series, I would have found the Sullivan family interesting.

What was most disappointing about Bella Andre’s story?

I knew I hit cheese-Overload when Zach finds Heather in his kitchen making eggs and he basically feels a pang in his heart. He's had a lot of women offer to make him breakfast in the past but he's never let a woman do it because he's never wanted to get that close or some mumbo-jumbo like that. Come on, we are talking about a grown man turning down countless meals! I grew up with a lot of men and if there is one thing I know, they never turn down food!

core romance with the Love of dogs

What did you like best about If You Were Mine: The Sullivans, Book 5? What did you like least?

our hero is just plain sexy. Our heroine is just too unsure for me! Weak women who get strong at the end of a story are not for me. the author is too busy making sure you want to buy the rest of the series. I caution you to finish one first before buying more.

If you’ve listened to books by Bella Andre before, how does this one compare?

You can choose which ever story you like. I picked this one #5, it started out with a puppy.this is a new author for me, she writes all the stories very wordy, almost like a diary. These are not for me. Listen to the full story before buying more.

What three words best describe Eva Kaminsky’s voice?

She is not for me. I have only a few I really love. anna fields, natalie ross, gabra zackman.I buy most of these 3 readers work.

Was If You Were Mine: The Sullivans, Book 5 worth the listening time?

2/3 of the way, great. then it faded. I am not looking for Hemmingway. I do like a book that makes you want to return for another listen. this was not it
