In a dazzling new novel in the Wherlocke family saga, New York Times best-selling author Hannah Howell creates an unforgettable story of intrigue, jeopardy, and desire.… Stealing a stranger's carriage is the second most reckless thing Lady Catrin Gryffin de Warrene has ever done. The first is succumbing to her powerful attraction to the carriage's owner. Catrin has heard the rumors about Sir Orion Wherlocke's family and their otherworldly gifts. He's the one person who can keep her son and his inheritance safe from her late husband's ruthless brother. As for how to protect herself…it may be too late for that. Orion is facing the worst danger a man of his ilk can find: a woman he can't walk away from. I'm so delighted that Polly Lee was chosen to narrate this book. Such a nice break from Ashford MacNab. I sincerely hope Hannah Howell continues this series and I especially hope Polly Lee is chosen to narrate.

I will miss the Wherlocks and hope Hannah will write more in this series as soon as possible. This book was just as good as the previous ones. Highly recommended.
I was very disappointed in the book cover. it looked nothing like O'ryan's character is described. I tend to use visual a lot. I wish they just used a body if they were going to put a picture on it.
Avid reader time permitting. Love audio books as I can multitask, love being inserted into the time & place of story thru narrators accents.
Not better really, but just different. It is nice to be able to listen to the story while doing other tasks.
Any in this series... As they are all excellent!
She did well shifting between the various voices from child, to men and women. I believe she was knowledgeable also of pronunciations and correct dialect.
I very much enjoyed the book and emotions are always touched in Hannah Howell's books. I just can't think of one particular incident at the moment.
Nice cover, but wish his hair was longer as was described in the book.
Love this book of intriguing characters. Love the witty children and the storyline. The permanent ghost is an added delight that make listening totally enjoyable. This whole series is great, but this book is the outstanding. Go Hannah Howell !!! Your new fan.
Can the mind babble STOP??? this was a hole bunch about really not much. Lots of repetitive thoughts and scenes put together very simply. Plot was almost non existent it was so primitive and the "abilities" the characters showed was I guess to put the reader's mind at ease since the suspense was so intense. Or NOT. Don't waist your credit if you ask me. Get something worth your time.
Doing the right thing is the hardest thing you will ever do" but one must try.. everyday. I thank my parents and heavenly father for the faundation of my life. I continue to build on it every day with the help of all my great friends and family. Love is a great faundation for life and Books are like a great meal that one must enjoy slowly ;)
It was kind of hard to listen to it for the reader is not what I am used to, once I got pass that it was great I wish she would have expanded more at the end and I hope there is a second book or more in se series
I can't tell you how sad I'am that this is the last book in this series (for now). AND I've loved every one of them.
Orion and Catryn were awesome, The secondary were wonderful: Iago, Bened, Gethin, Giles, Paul, Hector and little Alwyn.
The way Morris was described sounded like a peacock but he was as crazy as a bedbug!
The right amount of sex was added to make the book really interesting.
I will truly miss the Wherlockes and the Vaughns until the next book comes out.
As to the narrator: I'm really not sure. It says Polly Lee but it sounded just like Ashford McNab. Is it McNab using a different name? All I know is that every man in this book sounded just like he did in the other books. Especially Iago! You couldn't miss him because his voice was soooo nasally it was horrible. Fortunately he wasn't in the books too much. I don't know who did the narration but she did a wonderful job.
Yes Hannah Howell is one of my favorite authors
I am still reading it. The audio version quit working before I could finish the first chapter
The audio version could work! The book is great but I regret getting the audio because it is not working. I can not even do text to speech. Wish I could delete the audio. Very frustrating!
The book is great. Audio sucks
