Publisher's summary

For two years, Beth Williams has run from the past, and the beast that dwells inside her. She is haunted by memories of being kidnapped and the savage attack that killed her best friend. Now Beth finally thinks she's ready to move on... with Braden Edwards, a charming, irresistibly sexy man who tempts Beth to embrace the present.

But the past lurks closer than Beth realizes. Markko Bolvek, one of the werewolves who kidnapped her, has tracked her to Portland, Oregon, his pursuit fueled by a hunger for vengeance. Only Braden, a werewolf himself, senses the danger shadowing her steps. The Edwards and Bolveks have been enemies for centuries—and despite the instant connection he feels with Beth, Braden isn't sure which side of the war she's on.

With suspicion at odds with their attraction, Beth and Braden must learn to trust one another to stop Markko for good. Can Beth accept the wolf within—and love a man who embodies everything she fears?

Decent book but....

It is really hard to get around the narrator's voice. Everyone sounds like they have a cold. I purchased it so I am determined to listen to the end. But it is very hard :(

Could not finish

Hard to listen to the narrator. I read the paperback reviews on Amazon and was looking forward to a better read. I just could not finish.

Annoying narration

I can only give this recording 2 stars due to the excruciating narration.

I violated one of my own rules by not listening to the sample narration before purchasing this audio book. I know everyone has their own preferences, but please do yourself a favor and listen to the sample before you purchase this audio book. I'm about 1 hour into the book so far and I'm finding it very difficult to follow because the narrator sounds like she has a cold and is having trouble catching her breath.

In defence of the narrator

I have to say that I liked the narrator. I listen to all of my audiobooks in fast playback and this does make a huge difference to my tolerance level but she was far from intolerable.

So- if you want a mindless, fun listen- this is not far off the mark.

Keep in mind it is a Harlequin!

Hunting for a Good Book? Here It Is.

Hunting Human is not only a sexy shifter love story but also a sensual audio listen. The narration brings the characters to life and creates a connection with the story. Loved this book!

Good story - Narrator did good but...

Any additional comments?

This was a good story and I wish the series would have continued...The narractor did a good job but her voice was rough naturally, that it took some time to get used 2. Probably would have sold more copies if there was a male and female narrator.

Good read, bad listen

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A narrator who didn't sound like a child, and like she has an extremely bad cold.

Has Hunting Human turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, I enjoyed the read, just not the listen.

What didn’t you like about Gina Cedarwood’s performance?

She sounded hoarse and ill. It was unpleasant to hear her voice, it ruined the story.

What character would you cut from Hunting Human?

No one.

Any additional comments?

Please redo with a narrator who sounds like an adult who isn't sick.
