For a thousand years she has haunted him - Ariana, Queen of the Ilinas, a beauty of mist and light. His love, his life mate. Kougar believed her lost to him forever, until the truth of her stunning betrayal left him bitter and hungry for revenge. Now, she alone holds the power to save two trapped and desperate Feral Warriors.
Ariana, caught in a deadly battle of her own, is neither the soulless creature Kougar believes her to be nor the savior he seeks. And when darkness threatens to annihilate both races, the greatest danger of all becomes the glorious love Kougar and Ariana once shared. A love that must never rise again. A love that has never died. Contains mature themes.

"Palmer skillfuly shows readers how it isn't always easy to love your soul mate." (RT Book Reviews)
Yes. Its good listen. I've like the previous more, but i think this one may have been a gateway to future books. The overly breathy, too soft, and low voiced narration was a bit annoying tho.
Jag. His smartass nature is similar to my own.
He's starting to get to soft spoken.
Rob Shapiro does an excellent job in all the other books in this series except this one. The last word in a the sentence and the last syllable in a word was too breathy/soft to be understood. I had to continually turn up the volume and concentrate to catch all of his words. This is particularly true for the passages related to Ariana, her thoughts and speech.
This is also my least favorite story. Kougar and Ariana have a strained relationship. The story gets very complicated as we never know exactly what the magic does that has been poisoning her race for a millennia. There are too many things that go wrong for the story to end up okay in the end and yet somehow it does? Ready to read the next in the series and hope it is better than this one.
love the narrator his voice is soothing and he does the voices well. I suggest reading the books in order so it makes sense. I can't wait to finish the series.
My only distraction was withy the volume going up and down. It drove me nuts. Otherwise great book in the series.
I love shifter books and the stories. This series is very good and the history behind all the shifters is interesting. I love romance and the sex usually doesn't bother me, but by the 5th book in the series my only issue with these books are that as the series progresses there is more and more sex is in the stories then the actual story itself. I'm afraid of what book 6 is going to be like. So far sex is what keeps them alive, the only thing they can so without sex is breath. I feel the next book they won't even be able to breath without having sex. This is the first time I read any of Pamela Palmer books. I enjoyed them, but please add more content to the story and then you if have that much sex in the book it might at least be 50/50.
As for Rob Shapiro, I have enjoyed his voice, its perfect for the shifters, however when he speaks as a women, he lowers his voice so low that I had to keep rewinding or raise the volume when the females were talking. The Director should have picked up that issue and corrected it. But Rob's voice is awesome.
Worth a credit? Yes... Enjoy
You have definitely met all my expectations in this series. My most memorable moment is something I just can't choose right now lol. I love every moment I can listen to these books. All though it was pretty cool when pink met the blind human. It made me think there will be a "to be continued" book maybe?
