Publisher's summary

So what if he's a bit older and usually regards a human female as dinner, not a dinner date? Yes, Roman Draganesti is a vampire, but a vampire who lost one of his fangs sinking his teeth into something he shouldn't have. Now he has one night to find a dentist before his natural healing abilities close the wound, leaving him a lopsided eater for all eternity.

Things aren't going well for Shanna Whelan either... After witnessing a gruesome murder by the Russian mafia, she's next on their hit list. And her career as a dentist appears to be on a downward spiral because she's afraid of blood. When Roman rescues her from an assassination attempt, she wonders if she's found the one man who can keep her alive. Though the attraction between them is immediate and hot, can Shanna conquer her fear of blood to fix Roman's fang? And if she does, what will prevent Roman from using his fangs on her...

Good story - Narrator not good

Good story line , however it was difficult to pay attention when the narrators voice didn't change for characters

Review

Have many audible books and not thrilled with this narrator. I have read all books in series and they are 4 stars.

Well... no!

I really liked the first half of this book even though most of it consisted of the phrase , God's Blood" over and over.... and over. The second-half seem like the writer either got bored or forgot what story she was writing. I couldn't finish it unfortunately. The performance was excellent though!

Love!

My favorite author of all time. I fell in love with this series years ago and have read it over and over for years. I finally decided to get it on audio so I could listen on the go... It's an excellent start to an exciting series that kept me going for years.

...Leaves me wanting more

Really enjoyed the story and I am looking forward to the next. The narration, I feel, is on point for the story; she's able to keep up with the different dialects very well. It's quite entertaining.

Wish I read the book.

A lesson in listening to a sample first. I liked the story well enough (could have done with a tad less "God's Blood"), but I was often distracted by the various accents. Hence, why I wish I read it instead. I'm sure it was no easy task for the narrator to switch between Hungarian, French, Russian, Scottish, American, etc. But I especially didn't like Roman's voice and its kind of big a problem since he was the male protagonist.
