So what if he's a bit older and usually regards a human female as dinner, not a dinner date? Yes, Roman Draganesti is a vampire, but a vampire who lost one of his fangs sinking his teeth into something he shouldn't have. Now he has one night to find a dentist before his natural healing abilities close the wound, leaving him a lopsided eater for all eternity.
Things aren't going well for Shanna Whelan either... After witnessing a gruesome murder by the Russian mafia, she's next on their hit list. And her career as a dentist appears to be on a downward spiral because she's afraid of blood. When Roman rescues her from an assassination attempt, she wonders if she's found the one man who can keep her alive. Though the attraction between them is immediate and hot, can Shanna conquer her fear of blood to fix Roman's fang? And if she does, what will prevent Roman from using his fangs on her...

This was a boring and unoriginal story and at times it was embarassingly ridiculous. The heroine was brainless and the hero had a very annoying habit of saying "God's Blood" at regular intervals. I'm sure the narration was fine but I just couldn't get past the frustrating, dull plot. I wouldn't recommend this book and won't purchase any of the others in the series,
This whole series makes you feel warm and fuzzy about Vampires, good looks manners, respectful of us mortals, its a good read.
i wasn't madly in love with this story, and I'm not rushing out to buy the entire series...but it wasn't completely horrid. the story line was iffy and the ending was not at all satisfying.
I like this book alot I think it was worth the credit. Suzanne Cypress does a great job at the Narration. The story is one that keeps you interested in the book all the way through.
I would recommend it as a good book to listen to and can't wait to listen to the next one.
I won't be reading (listening) to any other books by this author. The main character said "God's blood" repeatedly....irritatingly so. The book moved at a snails pace and was underwhelming in the end.
Narrator:Suzanne Cypress does a pretty good job. Though the voices could of been better. Still was enjoyable and will listen to it again. Some reviewers didn't think this book was funny, I wonder why. Because I did! [giggles]
Love the opening scene when Gregori and Laszlo introduce Vanna to Roman...Laugh out loud moment.
There's fun banter all through the book.
I will get more of this series.
I have read the book my self. And wanted to read it again, I have been really busy. So getting the audiobook was a great idea.
All the other books in the series.
She was able to get the the characters accents down really well
When she found him dead in her bed. Lol
I hope she doesn't stop writing themto i Love the book.
Say something about yourself!
If you want another story about a demoralized vampire who is brooding because he is a vampire and has committed atrocities. Read this and be happy.
It is extremely predictable from the first - good vampire, bad vampire, good vampire’s entourage who knows that he is good, and a woman who resists loving the good vampire; but of course she cannot help herself.
The struggle between the good and bad vampire where the good vampire is willing to sacrifice himself for the right thing. The woman who will now die loving and fighting for him. Did I leave of anything? Oh yea, the woman always has to fight other humans (in this case her father) about the humanity of the undead.
Wait until you can get it for a penny.
I absolutely hated this book! It sounds like every harlequin romance novel I read in junior high, with vampires thrown into the plot. The lead couple was very unbelievable. Instead of coming off as a strong, self reliant woman, Shanna, the lead female, comes off as petulant and whiney. I couldn't find anything about the plot, or characters, to hold my interest. I can't believe this book was written by a best selling author. This was my first, and last, Kerrelyn Sparks book.
This was really hard to listen too and way too corny for my tastes. First of all, I'm so tired of the cliched vampire story where the main vampire character won't drink human blood for centuries because of their past and they won't have sex with a women because they are afraid they will drain or hurt them scenario (Twilight, A Discovery of Witches, etc.). I'm so sure that this guy is 1000 years old and is a virgin and never got over any of his past issues then all of a sudden he meets Shanna (The names in this story are ridiculous) and all of a sudden he can grow as a "Human being". RIGHT! It's so predicable that it was too the point where I could guess correctly what they were going to say next. I found myself rolling my eyes a lot.
Also I found that the author drowned on to much about Roman's past and Shanna, of course, is so understanding. Yes, every other word is "God's Blood" which is super annoying because you would think a vampire who is old would have more to say. If I could delete this from my library I would. The performance was nothing notable. All the Scottish accents were really irritating.
I wish I could delete this from my library. Every time I see it in my library it reminds me of what a bad purchase this was.
