Only total desperation could reunite Dianna Kelley with Sam MacKenzie, the irresistible bad boy she walked out on ten years ago. But the fearless firefighter with the awesome wilderness skills is the only one who can take her where she needs to go. It's a gamble-tracking down her endangered sister while keeping Sam and their undeniable attraction at arm's length. Not easy when they're trekking into a remote corner of the Rockies, where she's got to trust her former lover with her life.
Despite their past, Sam never could refuse a damsel in distress, especially one who has haunted his dreams for years. He'll help find her sister and get Dianna out of his system once and for all. But soon it's hard to tell whether the greatest threat is from the rushing rapids, the deadly enemy on their trail, or the passion that's sending them straight into the line of fire...

A good follow-up to book 1 (but I did feel it wasn't quite as good) about a super sexy handsome Hot Shot fireman and what he goes through for love and that lucky lady needs him bad - in more ways than one. But a word of warning - you have to put away your reality gauge and enter knowing that this is total fiction with some implausible acts and situations (treat it like a Willis or Cruise film).
This one's about second chances as the h/h had been engaged briefly 10 years previously but a heartbreak had torn them apart. Now Dianna needs Sam again and he's right there but neither want to get their heart's broken again and try to resist the sexual chemistry that's pulling them together but, (as we all know and eagerly wait for) eventually it snaps. Tense, thrilling plot about revenge, kidnapping, human endurance and forgiveness not only for the lovers but for family members too as terror for one another brings some home truths and insight.
There was romance and sex scenes but they weren't hot - just loving passionate moments, and even though I felt this was a more diluted listen than the 1st one, I am eagerly awaiting the next instalment. Although there were slight references to something that happen in the previous book this could easily have been a stand alone listen.
Worth a credit? Well, if you're a romance lover and can overlook the implausible to get to the happily ever afters then press the Add To Cart button now.
Crazy red head who's head over heels about family, friends and life in general!
This was a completely standard romance novel. Nothing special in my opinion. There wasn't a good "meet que" because the characters had a past. Some of it seemed a little unrealistic and I was especially bogged down with her constant thoughts. I finally had to skip through some of the later parts of the story because I was irritated with the female character. The story is OK but its almost two stories going on at the same time past/present and neither one is really well developed. I'm saddened that this was a feature book on audible and will not make the mistake of assuming something is good just because it's featured!

Close to the top along with Bella's Sullivan Series!
Sam.... Eva does such a good job with her sexy male voice. Definitely reminded me of a "hot" fire fighter.
When Sam and Dianna finally realize their true feelings for each other!
As always... another great book by Bella Andre! Just love her writing!
Audible has been my life saver.
Always love to read about firefighters. this storyline is a little over the edge but the is still worth the read.
This is the first book I've listened to by Bella Andre. I really enjoyed it. I was a little weary because of the publishers introduction. Too many romances start on the premise of a lost love come back around a decade later. It's been done to death. However, it really worked here. The narration was excellent.
The characters are believable and likeable.
I bought it on the 2 books for one credit offer, so yes it was worth the credit.
Yes, I enjoy most of her books. I also enjoy Eva Kaminsky narration.
She has a very pleasant voice with a lot emotion for the characters both male and female
I really would have to think about that
Second Book of the Hot Shot Firefighter -two words 'Fearless Firefighter' again Bella I want More More More
I liked the character of Sam, I found the drama part of the book (abduction) rather irreal and not very well thought through.
yes, I liked the first hot shots book. There's hope....
A better plot
Unfortunately, not even the steamy scenes were really good. It seems to me that this book was written in a hurry....
While the narration is as good as the rest of the stories in the series, this story spends too much time going over and over the same remunerations. I skipped a lot of it beginning with the eighth chapter. Don't know if it's worth the credit. Looking forward to the next one.
