A great escape from quarantine!
This is my 2nd favorite of Julie Garwood. My number 1 is RANSOM. Julie is a wonderful storyteller and she fills my heart and thoughts with adventure and romance! I highly recommend this book. The narrator did a great job as well.

Garwood Never Disappoints
I always enjoy books by Julie Garwood. I don't care for Flosnik as a narrator, but the story was an entertaining read for a fan of historical romances.

Not my favorite Garwood book
It was still a great story but I started to long for the ending. It might have been the writing and the constant crying of the heroine, or it could have been the narration. I usually don’t have a problem with Anne Flosnik, but she annoyed me in this book. It might be because this is the third book I have heard narrated by her in the last week and a half and I’m just tired of her. Whatever it was, the combination of writing and narration didn’t work for me like it usually does with Julie Garwoods stories.

Really not a good one
What disappointed you about Honor's Splendour?
The plot was meandering and the writing was groan-worthy quite frequently. The reader was really pretty monotonous, too. I often put on books on tape when I can't sleep at night and will gradually drift into sleep after an hour or so. This one has been putting me to sleep in minutes. I generally do not overly criticize the historical romance genre, taking the books for what they are, but this one was much worse than most I have read/heard. I can't tell if it would have gone differently had I read it myself, or if the reader has been the cause of me feeling like the writing was awful.

loved this book
I love this book! from the beginning to end I listened straight through! I wasn't a big fan of the narrator. she tended to draw out her last words like heeeeeeerrrrr. it was quite annoying. overall, it didn't detract from the book and was a great read! Definitely worth the credit!
