Publisher's summary

Horatia Sheridan has been hopelessly in love with Lucien, her brother's best friend, ever since he rescued her from the broken remains of her parents' wrecked carriage. His reputation as London's most notorious rakehell doesn't frighten her, for under his veneer of cool authority she has glimpsed a man whose wicked desires inspire her own.

Lucien, Marquess of Rochester, has deliberately nurtured a reputation for debauchery that makes every matchmaking mother of the ton quake with fear. However, the loyalty he owes Horatia's brother is put to the test when an old enemy of the League threatens Horatia's life.

With Christmas drawing near, he sweeps her away to his country estate, where he can't resist granting her one wish - to share his bed and his heart.

Contains mature themes.

good story, lousy narration

reader has annoying inflection and poor, unimaginative renderings of character voices. shame. could have been so much better, as the book was well paced with plenty of tension. ... far better as a reading book.

A wicked 5 star seduction

I loved Lauren . because of this story I purchased the frist one and will listen to it tonight in one day . . cant wait for the rest of the series . I love love Lucian . happy the second in the series is about him Lucien .the rakehell The League of Rogues is a group of close friends who have rules they must abide by. But what do you do when one of those rules prevents you from the one person you want more than anything? Lucien's unorthodox desires and that one rule have him struggling to stay away from the one woman he wants most, Horatia. The sparks between these two made it fun to listen . I found myself wanting to smack Cedric, Horatia's brother, upside the head at times. I laughed at the conversations between Lucien's family...especially his mother.
Can the League most wicked rouge and one well known throughout london be tamed
Horatia Sheridan has been hopelessly in love with Lucien, her brother best friend, ever since he rescued her from the broken remains of her parents wrecked carriage. His reputation as Londos most notorious rakehell doesntt frighten her, for under his veneer of cool authority she has glimpsed a man whose wicked desires inspire her own.
But sinister forces are lurking, awaiting the perfect moment to exact their revenge by destroying not only whatever happiness Lucien might find in Horatia arms, but the lives of those they love.
I LOVED this book. I LOVED the characters. I LOVED the intrigue and mystery.
This book has everything in it that you want. Unrequited love, passionate sex scenes and a villain out to destroy a close group of friends. I havent yet read the first book, but it was no problem picking up on the plot .
One night she pulls the ultimate prank and winds up at a pleasure garden, served up to Lucien as his new plaything and bedmate for the evening. Lucien knows exactly who it is right away. We know that he is not as unaffected as he pretends. He is cold and distant to her because he is scared to death of the feelings Horatia provokes in him. When she lands in his lap he can’t control himself , he can’t resist .. Although he leaves her technically a virgin, he gives in to the losing battle of ignoring her and sets them both aflame with passion. The League of Rogues is being plagued by a former school mate. He is out for revenge and nothing is off limits. In the book, we see this evil villain do despicable deeds and go after family members. He bribes staffs, pokes and prods his way into the lives and households of the League members. His threats prompt the men to take action and they split up. Horatia and Lucien, along with their families end up in Kent for the Christmas season to take shelter from this nefarious foe. However, it also means that Lucien can’t run away from Horatia and must face what is between them. It helps that his mother is firmly on her side and plots her own intervention, which was hilarious. While Lucien and Horatia figure out what is between them and what they want, they also must contend with her brother Cedric. He is opposed to any match between the two and knowing this makes it harder for the two to come together.
Lucien is changing. He is no longer the libertine who seeks his pleasure in wicked ways. He still maintains some of his kink, like his red ribbons, but he is learning what a real relationshipis Like with Horatia .
Grab it and see the evil that is done. Who is this school mate that is out to destroy them

Action, Sex, Danger, Sadness, Joy, You Get It All

Would you consider the audio edition of His Wicked Seduction to be better than the print version?

Did not read the print version.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the attitude and relationship of Lucien's mothers when she met with her younger sons about aiding Lucien and Horatia's situation. Also Audrey is a pistol. She will get what she wants even if she has to manufacture it.

What about Heather Wilds’s performance did you like?

She's enjoyable.

Any additional comments?

I must say, I loved the first book "Wicked Designs." This one fell a little short. However the League of Rogues is a series to be read/listened to and enjoy. The different personalities are wonderful and humorous and you can see the love and support among the Rogues. They have each other's back and that is wonderful. However, to me this second installment fell a little short. I must admit the book did slow down and die for a minute, but it ended strong. These stories allow you to see the inner person of the main characters. The love Horatia, Audrey and Cedric had for their dead parents, how that affected their lives and also how Lucien came to the rescue. Once you are allowed to see what makes them who they are, including Lucian, then they truly come alive to you.
I didn't like how the criminal got away and I do hate what happened to Cedric. I can't wait for the next installment.

Slow and Tedious

There was no resolution with the protagonist and I hate those types of stories. Just not interesting enough to read another one. Excellent reader!

The narrators long pauses do not help the story

The story is very raunchy but the narrator's long pauses doesn't help. I guess it's an alright love story if you like that type of love making.

I love this series.

With some stories there’s long stretches where it becomes boring. Never with this series! Five stars all the way around, although I’m incredibly sad Lauren blinded Cedric. How awful, even though in his story I know he’ll have a HEA unless he regains his vision I won’t be happy.

outstanding

The plot of the book left you wanting to listen more. I thought that one of them would die, but Cedric becoming blind was a good twist.

Lucien and Horatia

I don't think I've laughed so hard listening to a story. The Society of Rebellious Ladies, Audrey trying to accost Charles, the snowball fight... This book had me in tears from laughing. I really enjoyed this story - much more than the first. I only gave it 4 stars for the narrator's voice. You get used to it but it gets annoying sometimes, too.
