Story was good

The story was good. I enjoyed listening to this book. I would like to listen to another one of Maggie’s books.

I want a barbarian.

What a wonderful and unusual story right from the beginning Serenity was one sassy girl and Killian is the man to keep her in check. Yes, they have some serious problems to get through and there is one character that needs to take a long look in a mirror. Expect some heat everyone should have their very own barbarian. Loved the book and I highly recommend!!

Fascinating!

Could not stop listening to this story! Absolutely one of the best I have heard.

Fierce but kind warrior

I asked to receive this Audible book and voluntarily wrote this unbiased review. This is one of my favorite books by Maggie Carpenter and I love her books. Killian is a warrior of every women's dreams. He definitely caught Serenity's breath.  Killian is a fierce warrior, but he is also kind, loving, understanding and willing to listen to the ideas of others. Serenity is a strong willed woman but is also willing to listen the ideas of others, willing to fight to protect her loved ones, and fiercely love her man. This book is filled with adventure, intrigue, respect for elders, and sensual love scenes. The narrator is perfect for this Audible book. He brings the emotions, battles, and love scenes to life. He is a pleasure to listen to. I highly recommend this Audible book.

fun story

This is my first time listening/reading from this Author. I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy the book as much as I did. What a sweet love story of a naughty strong willed peasant girl and her Barbarian mate. The story was fun and sweet and will leave you with a smile.

Interesting Storyline!

Didn't expected such a thing could happen...a village girl ended up with a barbarian and surprisingly, the storyline is amazing & wasn't a bit boring with all the attacks & big plans in action. Barbarian indeed have a special way of punishing someone! Rob Grove is 1 of my favourite narrator! Great job narrating this story, loved it! Thanks Maggie for writing such an interesting book! So far all the books that I have read, none of your books disappoints me. Keep it up Maggie!

Just not for me

I was given this audio for free and I appreciate that. As a child growing up with sometimes extreme corporal punishment and a dictator of a father, this was just not for me. The story was interesting in spots and is a genre that I typically enjoy. The main character, Serenity, comes across as brave one moment and lacking the next. Wish I had liked it, sorry.
