Publisher's summary

Rock Star. Front man. Demon. A descendant of satyrs and the lead singer in a band that feeds on the energy of its audience, Trevor Sand is growing weary of the constant need to perform. He needs the legend of the Muse - a woman destined to be a demon's eternal companion and only source of sustenance - to be true.

Misty Grant has never been bold, but when Trevor singles her out among hundreds at a concert, she takes him up on his explicit offer. During an erotic night in his hotel room, she learns that his touch is as electric as his lyrics. But when Trevor's demon is aroused, her desire turns to horror and she runs.

Knowing that he'll die if he loses her, Trevor must find Misty before his enemies do. But even if he can save her, he knows that regaining the trust of his fated Muse will be his greatest challenge.

Okay paranormal

A bit slow. Paranormal is not really my thing, but interesting premise. Okay overall. 3 stars.

Unexpected AWESOMENESS!

Boy! This book was simply awesome... the smex! OMG! It was like listening to poetry. Really deep poetry, but a rock and roll romance, with paranormal! It was freaking awesome!

Misty is totally in love with this band, well the lead singer, so she ditches the norms of her life and goes to a concert. Trevor (o so hotty demon) is the lead singer of the band, and all the band members are DEMONS... that feed off of the energy. Sappy, I know right...but it actually is really good plot line.. the energy from the crowd is amazing, and the more the crowds gets pumped, so does the demons... and they do a feeding exchange...

A muse... (Misty) is the one that will feed a demon for life. None of the demons believe in this legend of the muse, so when Trevor spots Misty in the crowd it was like magic...

Alot of stuff happens...like one awesome smex scene right after the concert! Then other things like the really, really bad people trying to kill Misty because she is not strong yet...

This all does not compare to the way this book is written. I swear it was like listening to sonnets but not. It was freaking awesome... The best smex scenes I have listen to in such a long long time. AMAZING!!!

I so wish Nico Rosso had more book on here...I would scoop them all up without even reading the summary... This was that good!

Narration was perfection... Robins really brought Misty off the pages and made her seem so real. Trevor, not as much as Misty, but still great. I like my male heroes to have that deep baritone voice, but Trevor still worked. I even liked the raspy voice used for Wolfgang and Lee (the band member demons). Now I can't wait to see if Wolfgang and Lee will find their Muses! I really really hope there is more to come... This was awesome...

Instant Buy, Credit, Sale...or whatever... it was that good!

A very sensual paranormal romance

This was an interesting listen for paranormals; it's a typical rock-star romance but the paranormal aspects are interwoven into the "normal" life of fame rather than the highlight of the story. It all fits quite well, even the transformation of Misty from shy office slave to wide-open rocker babe in 24 hours. By sensual, I mean that the story evokes all of the senses--visual scenes past and present, color, movement, cooking smells, spices, sounds from nature and stadiums, the feel of fabric, wood, and stone--which I found to pull me into the story deeper. Yes, there are hot sex scenes, but it doesn't overwhelm the overall plot; it adds to it. The only thing I would change is the cadence of the story; it's told too slowly, especially in the action bits. I sped it up to 1.25, which means I lost some of the good baritone, but Robins does a great job otherwise. I hope there are more books following this one.

It Was Interesting.....

This book was definitely interesting... I liked it well enough and it was different then what I've been reading for sure. A good integration of your typical rock star romance and magical paranormal. Unfortunately while the poetic speech was nice enough & even pleasing to hear at certain parts, other times when they started speaking in lyrics it was just distracting.
I also felt that a prolog or something that gave us a bit of a back story or better idea of his history, abilities etc... would have made it better. Something like what Christina Dodd did for her Darkness Chosen series would have been cool, especially with how heavy this book was on poetical speak

enjoyable

it was a good mix of rock and supernatural, however I really didn't feel invested in the substories, the characters were likeable no angst which i like what you see is what you get

Sorry and what a shame.. but I just didn't like it

This book had such promise as I love love love most Paranormal romances and add a heavy metal rocker type and hey presto it's in my basket. However, I'm afraid I just couldn't get into the whole talking normally one minute then into song lyrics and poetry the next minute (a lot of which just didn't make any sense) it may have been cleverly done but yikes and blahhh blahhh.

Coupled with this, I thought the plot of nice girl Misty meeting Trevor, just about having an orgy within minutes of meeting him, coming to terms that he is thousands of years old and is a Demon and you're his Muse, fighting lots of other demons, having more sex and handing in your notice, could all take place within 20 odd hours. There were inconsistencies to the plot too and no backgrounds to the characters.

It had plenty of action and romance during the hot n heavy sex but it was always in the lyrical song or poetic speak which, as I said, didn't usually make much sense. This was no ordinary Paranormal romance - at no time was love mentioned and I didn't like the narration.

Worth a credit? IMHO if you're looking for something way way out of the ordinary with sex then go for it but if you're looking for a good story with your sex that has a nice building plot of x falls in love with y after overcoming certain obstacles then look elsewhere and it's a definite NOT creditworthy answer from me but I think this is going to be a book that people are either going to love or hate.
