Lora Leigh finally reveals the depth of the twisted mysteries that surround the August brothers in her suspenseful telling of Sam's story. Compassionate spitfire Heather, hired to protect the family from an unknown evil bent on hurting the men through the women they love, forces wealthy rancher Sam to face the skeletons in his closet in hopes of proving he's not the monster he thinks he is.
Summer Roberts' performance is as slick and tense as the relentless sexual magnetism between Sam and his beautiful bodyguard, despite his strained denials meant to protect Heather from becoming another victim of the August demons in this fast-paced, dark erotic thriller.
Will she bring the gift of acceptance, or will she break the bonds that have been forged through the fires of hell?
Heather's job was to guard Sam's body. As part of the team assigned to the protection of the August family, she had taken her job seriously. Until a madman learned she was Sam August's weakness. Until the past rose with deadly intent and surprising secrets. Will Sam be able to deny his passion for this woman? Or will the dark nightmares and sensuous desires that rage through them both be the cause of his destruction, and the destruction of the woman he loves?

A reviewer at Guilty Indulgence Review Site. I don't go anywhere without a book -ebook or audiobook.
You can't go wrong with Lora Leigh if you're on the hunt for a deliciously sexy story. In this series, Leigh focuses on a group of alpha cousins and the women who take them down. Be ready for some heat... it's hotter than August in these books. The audio narrator heats it up even more. Absolutely delicious.

Say something about yourself!
This was Heather and Sam's story of how they finally become a couple while trying to avoid the stalker (who we finally find out the identity of and it's a shocker). I love how this story wraps up the whole who is trying to kill the augusts storyline, it was a good ending.
Great Books Don't Promote Violence
This is the 3rd book in a strange series about damaged brothers who were abused as boys. (I made the mistake of buying all 3 books before finishing the first, hoping the brothers would mature.) The writing was great and the characters were compelling; I was instantly engrossed by this family. However, I lost patience and fast forwarded through most of this last novel in the vain hope that sanity would prevail. The plot: all brothers share their woman in order to heal from the scars of being savagely abused. As if... Lora Leigh, please go back to writing fun, sexy stories that entertain.
