Arabella MacLeod was tortured by dragon hunters a decade ago. Ever since, her clan coddled and tip-toed around her, most especially her older brother. Desperate for a chance at freedom, she volunteers to foster with the Scottish dragon-shifter clan. She's determined to stay clear of the charming Scottish leader, but not only does he keep crossing her path, her dragon is drawn to him.
Finlay Stewart hasn't been able to forget the scarred dragonwoman he met at Stonefire six months ago. When the same female agrees to be fostered with his clan, Finn pursues her. Balancing his clan duties with his need to see Arabella isn't easy, especially with the existing rift in the clan, but he's determined to try. Arabella's inner strength draws him like no other female before.
Will Arabella trust Finn with her past? Or, will the rift in his clan tear them apart?

I enjoyed hearing how Arabella grew stronger and found love with Fin after her earlier tragedy. As for the narration, I found her voice a bit too prim, but I really love the narrator's inner dragon voices, which are so id-driven.
I loved this book! The humor and playful bantering keeps you laughing and wanting more! The characters are delightful!
Loved Arabella & Finn's book! We're seeing another side of Finn and I Like it! I also love his aunt and cousins! He's very good for Arabella and had his own past trauma that we learned about in the book. I love that Arabella is starting to trust her dragon a little more and talk to her a lot more! She learns to trust Finn too!! Her and Finn have great chemistry and are so good for each other! They really are a great match and their chemistry is explosive! This was a sexy and action packed story with clan traitors being exposed and an unexpected offer from the DDA that I can't wait to see the progression off! Looking forward to the next book in the Dragon's series!
I love this series. This last one was so funny and I love the story of the dragons.
I like the change in voices to the dragons. Makes me laugh
Laugh and emotional at some parts.
My favorite part of listening to Jessie Donovan's Dragon Series is listening to the dragons. Reading their words is a riot, but hearing them in their deep-voiced brogue is hysterical. They are randy, pushy personalities.
Finn loved Ara without any concern for her scars, but he also understood she needed handling with tenderness yet without pity and sometimes with a firm voice and hand.
Wonderful, his accent and drama make this such a pleasure to hear.
I tried, but it is fairly long. Every minute was a joy.
Finn is the cocky, strong leader, during a difficult time for the clan. Add to that his immediate need to claim his mate, Ara who has been in a ten-year recovery from a vicious kidnapping and torture by the same enemy now threatening his clan and all dragon kind.Their romance is a fun romp with his family and her burgeoning feisty personality. It sure keeps Finn on his toes. A real reading and listening pleasure.
A narrator with the right kind of voice.
I stopped listening and did not finish the story.
The author need to get the narration re-done. The current narrator' voice and accent does not wok.
