5 stars is i love and i will read agani and again. 1 is i hate and i never want to hear about it ever again. YES = :))) - NO= :'(
This short story is in the Night Huntress series but its not about Cat and Bones. Its about one of the vampires Bones sired, Chance. Bones asks Chance to step in and help one of his friends's grandchildren and Chance took that chance and helped out... He ended up meeting a lovely lady and helped her out of her problems with some mafia guys caused by her brother.
I enjoyed this short story and finally it came as an audiobook. Was waiting for it and the other short stories for a while now.
I have gone through withdraws from the first 4 Night huntress, the first 2 Vlad and the First Drop Crimson..... Some of the later books were good but not as........ good. This book is a formula but, no one does it better and I felt happy when it was over. I probably will listen again. I would not have even bought it if Tavia Gilbert was not the performer. The couple she didn't narrate were absolute rubbish.
Enjoy listening to a narration of a great book.
Grandmother Greta asked her vampire friend, Bones, help with a getting rid mafia want-a-be Robert. Robert has his sights her granddaughter, Isabelle. Her grandson, Richie is also missing.
Bones sent his vampire friend, Chance. Isabelle was always concerned for his welfare even though he continued to return after several attempts on his life.
This novella has a tongue in cheek humor. It's fun and fast moving. For fans of Jeaniene Frost, you will not be disappointed.

I like the story concept and the characters.
I like Chance and Isabella, also her grandma.
The scene when the goons see Chance, a vampire still alive (unalive) after they shot him dead and toss his body in the lake with the fishes.
Every time I listen or read this story I smile at the end wanting more. I wish it wasn't a short story. It was that good!
Buy it and you'll love it!
Great character and plot development. An additional book in the series but separate from Bones & Cat. Action packed love story.
Tell us about yourself!
Go grandma! now we learn about One of Bones girls from the district. .. Greta . This is a very cute story. Tavia is a great narrator as all ways.
Nurse, mom, loved to read....but now I love to listen. When I retire I hope to hear waves crashing in 1 ear and audible in the other!
Another great couple, now that Cat and Bones have retired, maybe we will have more Isa and Chance! Two great characters, fun story with a visit from Bones! I loved it...just too short! Tavia Gilbert, as always was wonderful!
That grandmother was wonderful driving that car.
I listen to all of her performances . I love all her performances.
