Half-vampire Catherine Crawfield is going after the undead with a vengeance, hoping that one of these deadbeats is her father—the one responsible for ruining her mother's life. Then she's captured by Bones, a vampire bounty hunter, and is forced into an unlikely partnership.
In exchange for help finding her father, Cat agrees to train with the sexy night stalker until her battle reflexes are as sharp as his fangs. She's amazed she doesn't end up as his dinner…are there actually good vampires? Pretty soon, Bones will have her convinced that being half-dead doesn't have to be all bad. But before she can enjoy her status as kick-ass demon hunter, Cat and Bones are pursued by a group of killers. Now Cat will have to choose a side...and Bones is turning out to be as tempting as any man with a heartbeat.
Jeaniene Frost lives with her husband and their very spoiled dog in Florida. Although not a vampire herself, she confesses to having pale skin, wearing a lot of black, and sleeping in late whenever possible. And while she can't see ghosts, she loves to walk through old cemeteries. Jeaniene also loves poetry and animals but fears children and hates to cook. She is currently at work on the next novel in her best-selling Night Huntress series.

“Take one half-human/half-vampire female with serious anger and parental issues, add in a sexy ancient vampire with his own agenda, and you have the makings for a truly combustible series. Sign me up for the sequel!” (Romantic Times)
LOVE LOVE LOVE this series. I have to admit, this book started a little slow for me, but once the action really started I was hooked. Yes, yes, I understand all the comments about Bones' Voice, but people need to understand that a true "Cockney" accent, really does sound like that. When you hear Tavia Gilbert do the other British voices (later books), you will understand how talented she really is. Plus there are spin-offs of this book/series. I am now a LOVER of all Jeaniene Frost books and devour them as soon as they are available. I have actually pre-ordered the next one in the series. TRUST me if you love a STRONG female lead with love and adventure all rolled into a great story, you will LOVE this book and all the books that follow. You will be hooked
I love urban fantasy, paranormal romance, YA, and dystopian. My favorite authors are Ilona Andrews and Kim Harrison.
Both Night Huntress and Night Huntress World are amazing! Read Night Huntress first!!! This is the first book. It was a little slow at first but once I got into the book, and the series...I couldn't stop...I was reading a book a day. I have a chronic ilness and am sick all the time. This series made me forget about that and escape into a world filled with love, danger, humor and a main character who kicks a$$!
This definitely has a Buffy (The Vampire Slayer) hooks up with Spike feel. The beginning seemed very childish, although the scene and topics weren't. Midway it did seem to get better. Narrator won't be on my favorite list but she's not on my avoid list either. Will give book 2 a chance to change my opinion.
What a fantastic audiobook for me to listen to whilst I was driving for 3.5 hours. It made my drive very enjoyable! I'm hoooked! I look forward to listening to the rest of the series. However, Bones accent is quite off-putting but not enough for me to stop listening to it.
This is a wonderful series...action & romance. The reader is excellent. After listening to this book....had to have the rest in the series that were available!!
I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to continue the series. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it really took me a long time to get used the to narrator's voice for the leading man. So much so that I considered not continuing with the story. But about a few hours into it I was able to get accustomed to it and the story line had me hooked so I had to continue regardless. I really enjoyed the author's take on the do's and don'ts of vampires. I highly recommned this book.
I loved this book. The character are fun and dynamic. The only thing is the narrators portrayal of Bones, but that you can get past.
I liked this book so much that I went out and bought the other books just to read what was next. I like the way the story was wrote and read. It just worked. I can't wait for her next books to come to audible.
