Not my cup of tea

This was actually a good story. It was well plotted, strong character development, and quick pacing. The narrator does a good job giving life to the characters and with Bones's accent. What I didn't like about the book was the romance angel. Although the romantic relationship between the two characters developed nicely, it took over the plot . I would have preferred more action.

I don't know that I would listen to this audio again but I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

What does Tavia Gilbert bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She is awesome, all the characters were distinguishable and had their own personality...

There were funny moments and loving moments, not too much sadness....

I highly recommend and start at the beginning of the series.

I love Cat and Bones!

This is one of my favorite series! The banter between Cat and Bones is so unique. A definate keeper.

Great narrator, the story drags on and on though

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Make it go faster, i really could not get through it... i could not keep on listening, it just did not capture me

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

i have not even made it all the way through. i just stopped at somebody and wasn't into the story at all therefore no motivation to finish...

Was Halfway to the Grave worth the listening time?

I really did not think it was, I read all those great reviews and thought this was a great buy as it turned out it really was not. I love vampire story's but this one does not have enough content for me...

I am sad to say that i actually really would not recommend this book. I enjoyed the narration style and really liked the way it was told. I just did not like the story at all.

What does Tavia Gilbert bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I was amazed that every character had a different voice, even accent - male or female. Tavia did an amazing job of bringing the story to life. I can't wait to listen to more books with Tavia.

From book one to the last book, as soon as one finished I couldn't wait to start the other one. It made me wish that I drove more so I would have more time to devour the storyline. Great combination!

Lech's beware

A really good beginning to a series that I will put on my TBR list. Cat is half vamp half human and to avenge her mothers rape by a vamp, (her father), she seduces vamps and then kills her unsuspecting victims. A couple of years into her killing spree she try's to seduce one that is just not interested, (Bones), he had his own agenda. Bones is a vamp bounty hunter. When Cat try's again the next night she finds herself bound and in a cave. After satisfying his curiosity of just what Cat was, they spark an agreement. He will train her and then she will help him with his bounties. A fast moving adventure that ends leaving you wanting more.

The root story was much better than I expected and the characters were original and likable. The narration was very good and perfect for Cat.

a lot of fun!

This is a real fun read! The female character is strong and funny. There is plenty of action where she kicks butt! I felt the story was different enough that it really kept my interest. The sequel is really good too! Worth the credit!

Great story! Loved it!!

The charecters grow on you, I cried, I just purchased all the other books in the serious and can't wait to read the rest!! The heroine is confused but strong with so MUCH potential if only she would let it out, and the Hero is sexy and confident and PATIENT,knows exactly how to cultivate that potential and he's passionate!!

Vampires, sex, and love.....PERFECT!

I use audible to listen to books while I excercise, so I have to find books that make me want to hurry and listen to more so that I stay on track for excercising. I finished reading all of the Sookie Books, Author Charlaine Harris, and I was in search of another book/series that would make me excited to 'excercise.' I found Night Huntress, and it was perfect. All the things I love about vampire novels were in this book!!!!

I so loved this book!

There was comedy moments, tender moments and an ending to make even the most diehard misty eyed. I had to stop from laughing out loud at parts while listening at work, but most of use audiobooks so they wouldn't have shocked. Kat and Bones forever.
