Funny and entertainling

What made the experience of listening to Going Cowboy Crazy the most enjoyable?

Although it took a little while to adjust to the voices, I found this book to be well worth the credit. The story is funny (laugh out loud funny) and yet keeps you listening to see how the lead characters manage to end up together. I also enjoyed all the characters who played a major part in the overall experience.

What other book might you compare Going Cowboy Crazy to and why?

Make Mine a Bad Boy is the second book in this series and was just as much fun as the first. Revisit the town and the people. By this point , you are used to the eccentricities of the people in town and can hardly wait to see what they dream up.

Which character – as performed by Nicole Poole – was your favorite?

Obviously, Faith is the first choice, but Slate runs a close second

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Lots of laughs. I enjoy romance novels with humor in them. This book had plenty of humor.

Any additional comments?

I hope that there will be more books by this author as she is on my favorite authors list. There are several authors that I will buy their books as soon as they come out and Katie Lane deserves a place on the list.

A farcical, funnny, purely fictitious listen

A lighthearted, easy going, slow paced, romantic romp in a small town in Texas - easygoing, fun and an easy listen.

Worth a credit? I wasn't disappointed nor would I scream for my money back so, if you can take lots of sugar in your stories, then I guess it's a yes.

I'm going cowboy crazy!!

What made the experience of listening to Going Cowboy Crazy the most enjoyable?

I actually liked the plot! And it was so funny! Faith finds out she has a twin sister at age 30 when her adoptive mother dies. She decides to go to Texas to look for her. Faith finds a small town full of crazy people and gorgeous cowboy who makes her knees weak. Its a funny, interesting, heart warming journey into love, family and new friends.

What other book might you compare Going Cowboy Crazy to and why?

I've never read a book that I would compare this one to. But it did remind me a little about the movie Sweet Home Alabama. I really liked that movie and I really liked this book.

Have you listened to any of Nicole Poole’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is the first book I've listened to by this narrator. She's very good with the southern accents and great with male voices. I would definitely look for more books narrated by Ms. Poole.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Everything you never knew you wanted...

Any additional comments?

My first book by Katie Lane and narrated by Nicole Poole. I enjoyed both the story and the narration. I'm a girl from the Caribbean but this cowboy love story really did it for me. Highly recommend it if you like romantic funny stories.

Entertaining with One Exception

Cute romance - warm, funny, no violence or dominating jerks. Only one complaint: very negative comments about adoption and those terrible, uncaring women who give babies away. Seriously twisted thinking; birth mothers should not be demonized for making that unselfish and loving decision.

Interesting but toast momentum

This was interesting but it lost momentum. It seemed to draggg. It got ridiculous with the not listening to explanations just for the sake of a few more paragraphs to add to the story. It picked up but never fully recovered. The only wonderful thing was the narrator. It was excellent!

It was too long since it was just "OK".

I kept thinking it would get better but it didn't.

I read it thru to the end of the book.

A two step instead of a Cowboy Cha Cha

Funny - Enjoyable - Slow. Liked the book just wish the author would have picked up the pace a bit more.

Ridiculous but cute

The premise of this book is stupid. Let's just admit it. The thing that it has going for it is that the author seems to realize this as well. Although I nearly stopped listening after the first hour, when idle thought had revealed half a dozen ways that the central problem of this book could have been solved, I did like the characters, who were more complex than the formulaic premise might lead one to believe.

This story definitely requires the suspension of disbelief, but if you stick with it, I believe you'll find the results rewarding.
