In this lush and seductive novel, exciting new author Tessa Dare takes desire to brazen heights.
Ever the bold adventuress, Lucy Waltham has decided to go hunting for a husband. But first she needs some target practice. So she turns to her brother's best friend, Jeremy Trescott, the Earl of Kendall, to hone her seductive wiles on him before setting her sights on another man. But her practice kisses spark a smoldering passion that could send all her plans up in smoke.
Jeremy has an influential title, a vast fortune, and a painful past full of long-buried secrets. He keeps a safe distance from his own emotions, but to distract Lucy from her reckless scheming, he must give his passions free rein. Their sensual battle of wills is as maddening as it is delicious, but the longer he succeeds in managing the headstrong temptress, the closer Jeremy comes to losing control. When scandal breaks, can he bring himself to abandon Lucy to her ruin? Or will he risk his heart and claim her for his own?

Audible addicted love mystery, lately stuck on love story. Mother of 1 Labrador and 1 perfect man. Work way too hard, and so ready to be retired
One of the worst I've heard, will never listen to this narrator again the storyline started off cute I thought but I kept falling a sleep on it,than I figure out why THAT Voice?..Sorry
Struggled to get thru it because the lady's voice drove me insane. Always, always, always listen to the sample. Never realized how much of a difference a voice could make.
I might have liked the story better had the narration been better. The inflections were all over the place, the men's "voices" were awful! She took random breaks in between words and sentences. Terribly produced.
I liked the story. But I wish I would have read this one. I didn't care for the performance. The reader read some parts to fast. And some to slow she almost sounded lost. Voice did not match characters.
I will never listen to anything that she narrates again.
I love the other books of Tessa Dare that I've read. It's just so disappointing when they engage a bad narrator. Did they listen to her read anything before they hired her?
Love Tessa Dare. Unable to listen to annoying, irritating voice of Helen Moore-Gillon.
Used different narrator. Perhaps Carmen Rose, Rosalyn Landor, Carolyn Morris, Susan Duerden or Susan Ericksen
Never got more than 10 minutes into book. Narrator's voice was soooo annoying.
Narrator was so horrible I was unable to listen to book
Absolutely love Tessa Dare,.... irritated beyond reason by narration of Helen Moore-Gillon. I'm sure Helen Moore-Gillon is lovely person but I will never again purchase book narrated by her.
yes, but not as an audio book. The story could have been good, but the slowness of the reader made it taxing to listen to .
very similar to all the tessa dare novels in the overcoming past issues that have gone unspoken
too slow a reader and over emphasised too many elements of the story
The characters did things that showed strength, but so many of there thoughts went unsaid because of fear. It seemed like if a few of the concerns were shared with the main characters, there would have been less problems.
The female lead was always doing things wrong and misunderstanding. The only thing that the male lead consistantly acknowledges is that she is beautiful. There doesn't seem to be much more to credit her.
Life is Amazing! Live Well.
I do not know if it was the narrator or the story, but I could not muddle through this one...what a disappointment!
No, I am an avid romance reader...but this one just did not move!
Stay away from this one! There are so many better ones!
LOVE NOVELS WHERE CHARACTERS WERE ALREADY OLD FRIENDS. THE STORY IS MUCH MORE LIVELY WITH MANY FUN PARTS AND THE HERO IS ALWAYS TRYING TO PROTECT HIS BELOVED.
A LOT OF FUN!!
I DISLIKE MALE VOICE OF THE NARRATOR...VERY UNPLEASANT,I PREFER MALE NARRATORS.
Just a wonderful listening experience - classic love story, some fun characters, great narrator (with British accent!), well written... this was a real joy!
It was both written and read with intelligence - which seems kind of rare these days!
Loved the genuine British accent - gave the audiobook lots of class :)
It made me smile, and not want to turn it off!
