What made the experience of listening to Gladstone the most enjoyable?

A good story, suitable for all ages. This story should appeal to all readers, this story has mystery, suspense, romance, and dynamite!

What other book might you compare Gladstone to and why?

It read like a classic Twilight Zone story. It had elements of Cowboys vs. Aliens.

Which character – as performed by Deren Hansen – was your favorite?

The main character Jack was my favorite.. He ends up in a town full of secrets and he has to figure out what is going on.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The day trip to Havasu was a fun scene in the book. From the swimsuit shop to riding "water motorcycles" made for a fun sequence. The final action sequence was great. All is revealed and John Miller constructs an action sequence like no other.

Looking forward to the sequel.

What did you love best about Gladstone?

i loved the family dynamics of the characters the fact they have each other best interest in heart even when an outsider come into their midst its like they never miss a beat

Who was your favorite character and why?

mom and susan mom shes just a funny she a tough cookie and susan is so energetic shes always wanting to see things she seem like a bright and funny character

What about Deren Hansen’s performance did you like?

it was great i enjoyed it immensely

it made me smile i enjoys the charisma and seance of humor each character presented

i cant wait to hear the next book it was a joy to hear this one

Historical Western? No ... It's just an illusion.

This was a fantastic story. Set in current day, but feels like it goes back, almost historical. It's just an illusion and part of the mystery of the story. It's a wonderful plot with a great romance in the background. Truly had me hooked the whole time I listened.

The narrator did a wonderful job with the narrating. Each character had its own voice and I enjoyed the pace in which he spoke. His voice was almost hypnotic.

It's a small town, western, gun slinging, camaraderie, and take care of each other type of book. I truly enjoyed. There's not much more I can say without giving it away.

What did you love best about Gladstone?

Gladstone doesn't have any boring spaces in it. Right from the start it grabs you and makes you think.

What did you like best about this story?

This story is real easy to listen to and the author didn't complicate things by being too mysterious. There are subtle hints throughout the book that give you some sort of idea what might happen but not so much that you know the ending before you get there.

Which scene was your favorite?

Jack and Susan leaving town. It was a shift in the book because it went from Jack being in Susan's world to Susan being in Jack's and showed a whole other side of each of them.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Change isn't always better!

I found myself wanting more Gladstone at the end. We only got a small peak into the history of a small tight knit town. Maybe the beginning of a series John Miller?

Great book I hope John writes a series . Was intrigued from the beginning loved the twist in the book
