Publisher's summary

It's Christmastime in Sapphire Falls!

At least one good thing has come from Levi Spencer's car accident - it seems to have knocked some sense into him. He's ready to leave his wild Vegas playboy ways behind and become a new man. And he knows just the place to do it...his brother Joe's new hometown. He's never spent time in a place described as quaint or idyllic, and now he intends to revel in every charming, sweet thing he can find. Like the homegrown country girl his brother sets him up with for the Christmas formal.

Kate Leggot wants just one great Christmas. After a childhood without Christmas at all and three failed attempts to find the seasonal magic on her own, she agrees to spend the holiday with her friend, Phoebe, in Sapphire Falls. The Christmas-crazy town is a far cry from San Francisco, and Kate quickly finds herself drawn into everything from the snow to the hot cocoa. And, of course, the sweet country boy Phoebe has set her up with for the formal. Looks like she's going to get everything she wanted - and more - under the tree this year.

A not-so-little mix-up, a hot kiss under the mistletoe, and a candy cane or two later and December in Sapphire Falls has never been so hot.

This is a novella, about half the length of the novels in this series. Listen only if you like fun, small-town contemporary romances where they talk dirty and act even dirtier.

Feel good story

Fun story. Light romance with a little laughter thrown in. Great for a brief get away. Don’t look for anything deep or meaningful, just enjoy.

Better than most

Story was good, better than most of the series. Unfortunately the author went too far with one sex scene, instead of building it to a literary climax

Fun meet cute

Levi comes to Sapphire Falls to spend Christmas with his brother and turn over a new leaf. Phoebe convinces Kate to come for Christmas and to see what a real Christmas can be. I loved Kate and Levi’s story as they mistook each other for their blind dates. Great novella.

Mix-Up Meet-Cute

This was a fun, unique, spicy holiday story. I was initially confused by the first POVs, but it made sense later on. The mix-up meet-cute had me smiling wide. Levi and Kate were so great together from the start. Still, things moved super fast between them, especially at the end. The whole story only takes place over about two days. Yet I still found myself wanting more from them (in a good way).

redhat queen

This story was a very adorable Christmas story. I loved the characters. The location was a perfect small town in Nebraska called Silver Falls. It made want to spend Christmas there. Great writing Erin.

Holiday mistakes, fun and swoons

I loved Levi and Kate’s mistaken identity, fling, small town holiday romance. The story had the perfect balance of fun, humor, heartwarming love, real life issues, and spice. Kate is an environmental scientist who is friends with some of the employees of IAS, a company based in small town Sapphire Falls. Knowing she needs a small town Christmas and no drama, her friend Phoebe invites Kate to visit Sapphire Falls and sets her up with Tucker, a sweet local farmer. Levi is a millionaire and a bit of a playboy who recently got a concussion from an auto accident which made him reevaluate his life. He decides to come to Sapphire Falls where his brother Joe lives to clean up his life. Joe sets him up with Hailey, the town mayor. Joe and Phoebe forgot to mention to each other the setting up or inviting friends to their house until they’d already left town. There is a mixup at the meet up resulting in Levi thinking Kate is Hailey and Kate thinking Levi is Tucker. Their chemistry and attraction is off the charts but neither of them is what the other was looking for and they live in separate cities but perhaps a holiday fling. The book was well written with an engaging storyline as show through sweet moments, steamy scenes, supportive friends, painful pasts, imperfect characters, missteps, and all the big feels. And who knew candy canes was a thing. I am enjoying binging this whole series.

Kate Udall did a good job narrating the story and characters into life with enough change of inflection, tone and cadence to voice multiple characters fairly convincingly.

Really liked this one too. short but big romance

Kate and Levi meet by chance and define love at first sight.

my favorite part of this was the limited push back and self doubt. Although that stuff 8s true to life when first embarking on unexpected love encounters previous books just had too much back and forth. it boarder of ridiculous. This one's underlying message is about faith playing a huge role in taking a chance and taking another person's/partner's actions and words at face value. You leap, hope for the best and then try and work it out.
Bravo Kate and Levi!
