Lucky... in love?

An unlikely state of affairs. For Navy SEAL Lucky O'Donlon was the original love-'em-and-leave-'em guy. Used to women swooning at his feet. So how could it be that the frustratingly attractive journalist Sydney Jameson had nothing to offer him but one very cold shoulder? Well, two could play at this game. But first things first - he and Sydney had a job to do. They had to get their man.

Then there would be time enough for him to get his woman.

Great Story

I love Suzanne Brockmann. I always enjoy her characters and their relationships. I listen to books for fun, and I guess I’m easily pleased, but I wish the narrator of this story had either been a man, or a woman who had done a better job with the male voices. So much of this book was from the man’s POV. Still I enjoyed it.

You'll GeT Lucky

Suzanne Brockmann is a master at romantic suspense writing. Her stories have good balance between thriller and thrilling.

I enjoyed this very much

I enjoyed this very much. The story was good, funny at the right times and suspenceful at other times. Elizabeth Livingston has a very good voice and does the voices so well I knew who was speaking without her having to say. The romance was perfect. The heroine wasn't fooled for one minute by the Navy "Ken's" god like good looks.

Lucky gets lucky.

Once you get past how annoying Lucky is with women the story is good. He does improve as the book progresses, but he was always my least favorite SEAL. The ending was slightly anticlimactic and I was thinking the whole time it was the husband of the hypnotherapist, but alas I was wrong. A very good story, I do believe this series gets better with each book. I have been slowly but surely listening to this series. It is good but not as good as the Troubleshooter series which I blew right through.

Great listen.

I bought this book since it was on sale and had good reviews and I am glad I did. I have not listened to the others in the series but after listening to this book I will definitely go back and listen to the other books in the series. This book does stand alone but I think reading the series in order will give you more back ground on the other characters.

Much better story than I anticipated...

This was everything you might want in a romantic fiction work - well written, good narration and an interesting story line. I totally enjoyed it. Lucky, who initially seemed a bit shallow, ended up being a solidly likable character. Just enough suspense to keep you guessing!

Too much angst

This had a good story base but it got tiring listening to "he doesn't love me, even if he says he does - how could anyone love me". Then repeat the last sentence with 'she' instead of 'he'.
It just kept up until the very last paragraph. The story line was good.

OK, so this is My Fave of the Series

Do you fight, flee, hide, or surrender? This is the question that Sydney keeps asking as she joins a task force to catch a serial rapist. She’s a journalist whose neighbor was raped; and she’s foisted on Lucky’s team by local police, who dislike them both.
When she moves in with Lucky, the timeline for frustration is: 49 long days, 17 agonizing hours, 12 very impatient minutes.
The lovely HEA: With Luke her life was going to be laughter and sunshine all the way.
I really like this story. It’s one of the few books without a lot of action that didn’t leave me so impatient that I had to keep skipping forward.
Livingston does a decent job of narration; better than most of the female narrators in the series.

GREAT story + FUN narrator = Money Well Spent

If you could sum up Get Lucky in three words, what would they be?

Fun, Sexy, Interesting

Which scene was your favorite?

I loved when she

Any additional comments?

Many stories of this genre tend to do circles. Same dilema throughout the book, using different words .
Brockmann kept it interesting, as she does in most of her books.
