Publisher's summary

From the author of the New York Times best sellers Gabriel's Rapture and Gabriel's Inferno comes the epic conclusion to the captivating romantic trilogy.

Professor Gabriel Emerson has left his position at the University of Toronto to embark on a new life with his beloved Julianne. Together, he's confident that they can face any challenge. And he's eager to become a father.

But Julianne's graduate program threatens Gabriel's plans, as the pressures of being a student become all-consuming. When she is given the honor of presenting an academic lecture at Oxford, Gabriel is forced to confront Julianne about the subject of her presentation - research that conflicts with his own. And in Oxford, several individuals from their past appear, including an old nemesis intent on humiliating Julia and exposing one of Gabriel's darkest secrets.

In an effort to confront his remaining demons, Gabriel begins a quest to discover more about his biological parents, beginning a chain of events that has startling repercussions for himself, Julianne, and his hope of having a family.

Very Loved Series

First let me just say that I will miss Professor Emerson. I loved this book I loved this couple and I loved the way SR wrote it how the book just flowed. Julianne was afraid to have a baby because she want wants to complete her studies she had a really good heart because I would have slapped Krista and Natalie for the things they did and the Professor did his best to get away from his past he was the man that said "don't let the glasses and the bowtie fool you" I loved how much he changed his manwhoring ways he wanted to be a better person. This book made me laugh and cry this was a perfect end to this series. I will miss the bowtie wearing Professor Emerson

A TRULY MAGICAL SERIES

Pheweee, what a brilliant, emotionally draining, sweet, passionate, sexy (but not graphic) tender, all consuming haunting love story this series has been and, in this final book, loose ends are tied, right choices were made, sins were finally forgiven, hopes were realised and an unconditional love provided the ultimate redemption.

Gabriel and Julia's love affair started when she was just 17 however Gabriel was 27, and also her Professor, so it was a forbidden affair that spans 8 years but what an emotionally charged journey it's been as the devoted couple's many obstacles were each painstakingly faced and overcome one by one. You can't help but fall in love with the sexy handsome Professor and respect Julia and all the choices she makes to hold on to a love like no other.

Sylvan Reynard's style of writing is simply awesome with plot twists, surprises, a cast of likeable, loveable, sad, nasty and interesting characters and the pages are packed full of romantic verses, phrases and paragraphs that are almost poetic in nature. There are a lot of sexually charged scenes but they're light on detail so the story isn't driven by one sex scene after another but by the subtle suggestive words used to portray their desire, longing, lust and deep love and respect for each other.

Worth a credit? You just can't put a price on a trilogy like this whose characters will stay with you long after the last word, of the last book, is finally revealed and you have to say a sad farewell to characters that have entertained, enthralled, angered, saddened and eventually grown to become people you'd like to add to your Address Book.

Communication is key in a marriage

Any additional comments?

As much as I loved the first 2 books, this was one story that didn't need to be written. Newly weds constantly fight over stupid nonissues and then make up with sex, it was 15 hours of face palming. I liked the story, it wrapped up lots of the side story lines.

Like the books, hate the narrator

How could the performance have been better?

I don't know why the narrator felt compelled to make Julia sound like an inbred moron in all three books. I read the first two books and this is the first time with the audiobooks. I hated his performance of her so much that I dropped it and bought the book so he wouldn't ruin the story for me.

Any additional comments?

I recommend you read the book and skip the audiobook.

An amazing end to a beautiful story!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would definitely recommend it. The narrator is an amazing find and he just inhabits the character so much and just brings that small something extra to the listening enjoyment. I appreciate more than anything that it was done by a man. I prefer them to female narrators sometimes. John Michael Morgan is amazing!

What other book might you compare Gabriel's Redemption to and why?

Because of all the references to classic literature like Paradise Lost and Dante's Inferno...But truthfully I can't really match it to anything else. The intelligence in the writing is something you don't see in a lot of writing these days. With somewhat of an academic tone but it's not trying to teach you.

Which scene was your favorite?

I think the scene after Julianne finds she is pregnant and in the middle of the night gets out of bed to go for a drive but Gabriel convinces her to walk to the orchard and the conversation they have there.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes!

Any additional comments?

I sincerely hope that John Michael Morgan decides to do more audiobooks. He has an amazing voice.

Besides the story being outstanding. I love the way Sylvain Reynard introduces art, literature, music, and locations I would have never otherwise touched, or even been familiar with. Thank you. Love the trilogy.

Is it really over??? :(

We love the Professor and Julian! This is the end of their story, or the conclusion of our view of their lives, I know they will live on in our hearts. I completely loved this series, it is different from anything else I've listen to or read. We really see how Gabriel and Julian have changed and progressed over time since the beginning. Honestly, I was so irritated with her during the book and wanted to smack her, but understood on the other hand too, I guess. This was a great ending, we get all of our questions answered happy endings for all and a wonderful life!

Excellent Ending!

I highly anticipated this third installment of this series and it was equally as enjoyable as the preceding books. This book, as it is the final in the series (will there be another???? I don't think so), was more about tying up loose ends, new beginnings, and coming to terms with various circumstances. I love, love, LOVE the Professor, so any story further delving into the inner workings of his mind is great story to me. Additionally, there were several characters that have been players in each book that created interesting subplots, and if the author so desired, their characters were richly developed enough to have stories of their own in the future. I wouldn't mind one featuring Simon...talk about 'just desserts' in this story..wow!

As usual the narration was awesome....JMM is a GREAT Professor....I could listen to him all day...and that's basically what I did and have done with each book in the series. If this is your first introduction to Gabriel Emerson, start from the beginning---I don't think these are stand alone books. They are so much better when you have the foundation of the first and second books. The Professor is worth multiple credits and 10 stars!!

Gabriel's Redemption - A Beautiful Endng

Would you listen to Gabriel's Redemption again? Why?

Most definitely, this story is one I have enjoyed from beginning to end.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked how Julia and Gabriel worked through some insurmountable problems, and found their way through them. Though there were a few stumbles that they both could have avoided, they grew closer because of them.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes there were many moments that made me laugh and of course a few tears, I would expect no less.

Any additional comments?

A beautiful ending to a great trilogy, and I loved how the secondary character's story was addressed. Even though I would have wished for a different ending for a few of them, but overall a great job. It could have used a little less of all that Dante info, but hey that is just me.

I wish I could give it 6 stars....

Which scene was your favorite?

There were to many to specify which of them was my favorite. However, people getting what they deserve was a good point but the end was probably my favorite but no spoilers....

Any additional comments?

I cried so hard that all four of my children; ages 9, 7, 4, and 2 came up and asked me if I was okay and snuggled up to me to make sure I was okay then hovered for about 20 minutes afterwards... It is so GOOD.
