Publisher's summary

After Maya is turned into a vampire against her will, vampire and Scanguards bodyguard Gabriel is charged with protecting her and finding her attacker.

Gabriel has never guarded a body as perfect as Maya's. Moreover, Maya's enticing blend of vulnerability and strength is difficult to resist. Yet resist he must. Even as the sexual tension between them rises and the rogue vampire closes in on them, Gabriel refuses to give in to his desire. Despite the intimacies they share, Gabriel fears that if he ever reveals himself fully to her, Maya will react like other women have, running from him, and calling him a monster, a freak, a creature not worth her love.

Will Maya prove to be the one female who cherishes all that Gabriel is?

Any fan of J. R. Ward, Kresley Cole, and Lara Adrian will love Gabriel's Mate!

PREPARE YOUR EARS...... IT'S A HOT ONE

Poor Gabriel - a disfigured, once handsome sensitive hero with a 'sexual problem' that put's the ladies off so rarely does he get involved with the opposite sex unless he pays for it. That is until they rescue Maya, a recently attacked and turned vampire, then suddenly he becomes irrational, protective and obsessed but because of his 'problem' he tries to keep her away.

Maya is drawn to Gabriel, hungers and burns for him, but she is being stalked by a mystery vampire and Gabriel is trying to take his duties very seriously by staying close to her but he's getting distracted by both Maya and finding a cure for his 'problem'.

There's mystery, action, adventure, twists, murders, humor, surprises, passion and when his problem suddenly becomes an advantage it results in some HOT HOT sex scenes (so be warned). In this very enjoyable, entertaining, emotional and addictive listen you can't help but like both main characters and empathise with Gabriel's situation, it's also filled with other mysterious Scanguards that I'm sure we'll be hearing about and I can't wait.

Worth. Credit? Daa that's a BIG FAT YES and please keep em coming Tina.

Sex, Lies and Murder... SO GOOD!!!

I have been looking forward to all the Scanguard series becoming available on audible ever since I heard Samson's Lovely Mortal. Let me tell you this book didn't disappoint. Sex, Lies, and Murder, what more can you want from a good PNR. With this book by chapter two, I was able to deduce who the villain was but it didn't stop me from reading the rest of the story with enthusiasm. I think I was more interested with Gabriel's unusual sexual condition than I was in determining the mastermind stalker. Gabriel, although as described as not the most attractive vampire, he has a beautiful heart and soul underneath. I was happy he found what he needed in Maya, who is just as insecure about herself as Gabriel. Together they fill in each other what the other person is lacking. Yeah the ending is predictable but nonetheless it's worth time to get there. Is it worth a credit, umm DUH!!!!! And OH did I mention, I love Kevin Foley voice. MMMMM!!!!!!!

The Best on Yet!!

Ms. Folsom continues to build on her characters and at the same time she tells Gabriel's story. I have to admit that Gabriel and Mia's story had a lot of twists and turns that I didn't expect. The "villain" in this one will surprise you! The one part of this book that I didn't like was when Carl gets killed. Even though he is only a minor character in these books, I really like him and was sad to see him get killed.

Urologist to the rescue.

So far this is the best book in the series. This one has a vampire stalker, very creepy. Although primarily it is a paranormal romance. I am a character reader, if I don't like the characters the books suck no matter what. In this book I like the characters and am looking forward to all of their books. I think the series should be read in order. It has a slightly different twist and it was a first for me. Narrator was good. I will be getting the whole series and now am impatient for them to be recorded.

Gabriel’s Mate

Well, this is the 3rd book in this series and they get better with each new book. I read the Vampires of America and thought there couldn’t possibly be any vampire series as captivating that. I was wrong. This series, although different, is dynamically equally captivating. I say anyone who likes vampire stories has a fairly good chance of getting a kick out of this series too. Kudos

I think this one is my favorite!

I am so enjoying this series. I really like how Tina Folsom managed to keep the main story line flowing while adding in the new characters and new plots. I also really like the incorporation of Satyrs into the story. Who would have guessed. Well done! The characters, Maya and Gabriel are probably one of my favorites. I think the only couples that top them are Thomas & Eddie, and Zane and Portia. I think it's obvious that I have a soft spot for men with tortured souls. I'm really excited to get to both Zane and Thomas' stories.

I have read all of this series in ebook format, but this is my first time listening to the audio. The narrator does a wonderful job depicting each character and their reactions. He does such a god job that, at times, I forgot it was a man reciting the female parts. He flows so seamlessly between the female and male parts. Well done to both the author and the narrator for jobs well done.
