Publisher's summary

From New York Times best-selling author Sylvain Reynard comes the first novel in the Gabriel's Inferno series, a haunting, unforgettable tale of one man’s salvation and one woman’s sensual awakening - now a film from Passionflix!

Enigmatic and sexy, Professor Gabriel Emerson is a well-respected Dante specialist by day, but by night he devotes himself to an uninhibited life of pleasure. He uses his notorious good looks and sophisticated charm to gratify his every whim, but is secretly tortured by his dark past and consumed by the profound belief that he is beyond all hope of redemption.

When the sweet and innocent Julia Mitchell enrolls as his graduate student, his attraction and mysterious connection to her not only jeopardizes his career, but sends him on a journey in which his past and his present collide.

An intriguing and sinful exploration of seduction, forbidden love, and redemption, Gabriel’s Inferno is a captivating and wildly passionate tale of one man’s escape from his own personal hell as he tries to earn the impossible - forgiveness and love.

Most romantic story with Italian accent.

Stayed up all night listening to Gabriel 's sweet seduction of Julia, his Beatrice.

It is a better read than listen

If you could sum up Gabriel's Inferno in three words, what would they be?

Almost too romantic

What did you like best about this story?

Gabriel. He is an ass, but he is wonderfully brooding. Also, Sylvain Reynard has a love for literature and it shows. The flow of the language is wonderful, though the book is far too long.

What aspect of John Morgan’s performance would you have changed?

He is good. I have no issue with him, though I prefer female narrators for romance. Robert Petkoff being the exception.

Any additional comments?

Read it, do not listen to it. Not because the narration is bad, it is fine. Because the writing is great and you really need to see that to enjoy it.

Final Score - 4.5 Stars!

Eagerly anticipating the Passionflix movie based off the series of books, I decided to reread and listen to the books. Mr. Morgan’s performance was good, but I feel that a feminine voice should have been added. It would have brought another layer to the story that I found to be missing here.

Watch the movies instead.

I was looking for a series to get into while I was waiting for a couple books to come out. I came across this one. I figured it was being made into a movie, so it had to be good right? Well..... The story is great. I love it. I loved Gabriel. I HATE how Julianne is portrayed. The story is drawn out entirely to much. I got to the last 2 hours of the book and gave up. I binged all 3 movies out so far the same night. They were actually REALLY good. They portrayed both characters so well, and the chemistry between the 2 main characters is amazing. Julianne was more as I thought she should be. Seemed to have a little more backbone. There was more feeling than in the book. Like I said... I LOVED the storyline and the story itself. It just seemed to last forever. I read romance for the romance. It took entirely to long to get to, then even that seemed to last forever.

Loved the book and movie!

I saw the movie and had to read the book. I was very pleased to see how close the movie matched the book. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Love this romantic story

I love this profound love story. The Author Wrote it from heart and soul. It is Romantic, Passionate, Sensuous and so much more. The story pulls the reader in deeply on a soul level

I did not like the Narrator At ALL!!
I don’t feel he connected with the story or the energy of the characters. I got bored not of the story but with how the narrator read. He lacked something.
I also agree with another reviewer, the narrator’s voice was to deep to read the part of the Heroine.
I feel that the story should have been narrated by a male and a female who knew how to bring the characters alive so that the listeners would really connect with them.
I am going to finish listening because I love the story so much. But I wish you had two other narrators, male and female.
