Publisher's summary

From New York Times best-selling author Sylvain Reynard comes the first novel in the Gabriel's Inferno series, a haunting, unforgettable tale of one man’s salvation and one woman’s sensual awakening - now a film from Passionflix!

Enigmatic and sexy, Professor Gabriel Emerson is a well-respected Dante specialist by day, but by night he devotes himself to an uninhibited life of pleasure. He uses his notorious good looks and sophisticated charm to gratify his every whim, but is secretly tortured by his dark past and consumed by the profound belief that he is beyond all hope of redemption.

When the sweet and innocent Julia Mitchell enrolls as his graduate student, his attraction and mysterious connection to her not only jeopardizes his career, but sends him on a journey in which his past and his present collide.

An intriguing and sinful exploration of seduction, forbidden love, and redemption, Gabriel’s Inferno is a captivating and wildly passionate tale of one man’s escape from his own personal hell as he tries to earn the impossible - forgiveness and love.

Deep Sigh.... In Love....

What did you love best about Gabriel's Inferno?

Excellent story in its entirety. Both of the lead characters are definitely tortured souls but eventually find peace within themselves as well as the supporting characters. The love scenes are not raunchy in any capacity but still gave me butterflies

Who was your favorite character and why?

Gabriel of course.. He is definitely the most tortured soul of them all but he changes into something wonderful especially once you get to the third book

What does John Morgan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I was uncertain at first about having a male read this kind of book but honestly due to the way the book is written the male voice was perfect and very soothing. Mr. Morgan was spectacular

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I couldn't get enough of the story and Mr. Morgan's soothing voice so yes

Any additional comments?

So far I have completed multiple books that I have enjoyed. At this point my favorite books/stories have been the following sequels:
50 Shades - By: E. L. James
This Man - By: Jodi Ellen Malpas
The Stark Trilogy - By: J. Kenner
Gabriel's Inferno - By: Sylvain Reynard

Each time I try a new book I have been both disappointed and impressed. The disappointing books are not listed above only the ones I loved. At this time I am now completely in love with Gabriel's Inferno which is "NOW" my absolute favorite of the 4 books listed above. I may change my mind once the third book for "This Man" is released but right now my comment stands.I love John Morgan's voice. I think he more than anything is the one who brought this story to life for me.
LOVE IT..

Intellectual Romance

I loved this book! The character development is very similar to Fifty Shades and Twilight. It focuses on the development of the relationship, rather than physical intimacy. This was a little frustrating but worth the tension. There were a lot of Dante and Botticelli references, so I can see how someone who is not familiar with those topics would not like the book. For me, this is one of the best romance novels I've read in awhile.

The narrator was also wonderful. He had a wide range of voices and tones to signify different characters and moods. His voice was soothing to the ear.

Very romantic

This was a very romantic story. It was a bit slow in getting to the sweet and romantic parts, building the story line quite a bit which was good but might be hard for those who are impatient. I thought it was a great story and would recommend it for sure! I thought Paul seemed to be very much like Fred from Scooby-Doo. Just very kind but with no romantic draw whatsoever. I wish there could have been more of a connection with Paul and thus making it more of a struggle between Gabriel and Paul.

There were times where I thought Julia could have been more brave. She was so weak and fragile. I know that is what Reynard was probably lay going for, but I feel a bit more fight in her would have done the story good. I feel that Gabriel coddled her like a little child and so when they finally were intimate it was as if he was 40 and she was barely 18 having lived in a nunnery her whole life and he was the first man she had ever laid eyes on.

Overall, I loved the book and I appreciated Gabriel’s struggle to become better and lower his pride. Also I think Gabriel would be the most sexiest man to meet in real life. The whole black-rimmed glasses, bow tie, a vest with a gold stop watch, dark brown longer hair with waves and curls, with blue eyes.....mmmmmm.....soooooo delicious! Tack on that he is stellar smart with an Oxford and Harvard education makes him that much more attractive. It was a very good book! Also John Morgan did a VERY good job narrating it! His voices for each character were awesome. Well done!

Not for everyone, but I liked it.

I am also an English/Literature teacher, so I appreciated the Dante symbolism. This book makes you really feel how much they love each other.

loved it

John Morgan's voice is wonderful to listen to. no robotic sounds like you hear in most romance novels.

this is one of my favorite series, but i stayed away from the audio book due to most narrator's being not so good. I'm very glad that i decided to use a credit. i have now purchased the rest of the series because John narrates it in it's entirety.

worth credits and cash.
