Publisher's summary

From New York Times best-selling author Sylvain Reynard comes the first novel in the Gabriel's Inferno series, a haunting, unforgettable tale of one man’s salvation and one woman’s sensual awakening - now a film from Passionflix!

Enigmatic and sexy, Professor Gabriel Emerson is a well-respected Dante specialist by day, but by night he devotes himself to an uninhibited life of pleasure. He uses his notorious good looks and sophisticated charm to gratify his every whim, but is secretly tortured by his dark past and consumed by the profound belief that he is beyond all hope of redemption.

When the sweet and innocent Julia Mitchell enrolls as his graduate student, his attraction and mysterious connection to her not only jeopardizes his career, but sends him on a journey in which his past and his present collide.

An intriguing and sinful exploration of seduction, forbidden love, and redemption, Gabriel’s Inferno is a captivating and wildly passionate tale of one man’s escape from his own personal hell as he tries to earn the impossible - forgiveness and love.

Romantic!

What did you love best about Gabriel's Inferno?

Gabriel's whispering hot sweet naughty things in Julia's ears. Only from a poet could it be conceivable a man would say such things. It built suspense enough that it was almost a let down to return to the banality of the act itself. I honestly could have done without the final sex scenes.

Any additional comments?

I don't think I am going to read the second book, I am afraid it will mar the romanticism with too much explicitness.

A nice romance

This book was not exactly what I expected, however, it was very captivating. It is a lovely romance without being harlequinesque, sexy without being crude. The characters are very well developed and likeable. I found it easy to relate to both main characters. Overall, a well written book.

Tantilizing Romance Novel

If you could sum up Gabriel's Inferno in three words, what would they be?

Sultry, Heated and Unpredictable. Fabulous story line with plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader entertained.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Gabriel. His struggle to remember Julia and battling his inner-demons proved quite entertaining. The development of his character throughout the book was well written.

What does John Morgan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I had read the book, prior to listening to John Morgan reading the story. John's voice is perfect for this novel. He adds slight variations in his voice when reading different characters.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book certainly pulls on various emotions. There are times when you feel sympathetic to the characters and also times when you become enraged with this word and actions.

Any additional comments?

Gabriel's Inferno is an awesome read. I have read and listed to all three books in the trilogy. Each are well written and continue to develop the characters and story line.

It takes a while to get there, but when you do..!!

What made the experience of listening to Gabriel's Inferno the most enjoyable?

The narrator was wonderful, like warm, silky milk chocolate on the tongue. The writing made me feel like I was listening to actual literature versus listening to a "bodice ripper". When you combine the two, it's a magical concoction.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Gabriel's Inferno?

When they finally made it to Florence. The seduction was magnificent. It took a very long time to get there though, but well worth the wait.

Have you listened to any of John Morgan’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, I haven't had the pleasure before, but I will certainly correct that momentarily.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not at all. It's much too long for that, but that doesn't make it any less pleasurable.

Any additional comments?

I have just thoroughly been made love to. I'm not fit to drive, so I suppose I'll sit here for a while and reminisce.

Incredible!

What did you love best about Gabriel's Inferno?

I loved how well written this book is. First of all, the character development is fantastic. I felt close to Julianne and her student life. She is a relatable character from her time spent in pajamas to how frustrated she gets with Gabriel.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Gabriel's Inferno?

The kiss in their office was one of my favorite scenes. It's sexy, yet sweet. I love how long it takes them to have a physical relationship.

Have you listened to any of John Morgan’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The voice messages Gabriel left after Julianna and him argued about the night where he was drunk.

Any additional comments?

FANTASTIC book. Great read. I really enjoy it.
