Publisher's summary

Homicide detective Angela Keen thrives on the city’s rough streets. But when she becomes the prize of all prizes in the dragon-shifter world, due to her “high-energy” status, she gets more than she bargained for. Kidnapped by Lothair of the Razorback clan, Angela barely survives captivity before managing to escape. Hurt and alone with nowhere to hide, she faces certain death when Lothair uses the trace energy she leaves in her wake to hunt her down. But before he can reach her, a mystery dragon-shifter intervenes and saves Angela’s life.

Now a guest of the Nightfury clan, Angela regains her strength as her rescuer, Rikar, the last living frost dragon, gradually breaks down her mistrust. Surrendering to her desire for Rikar, but still uncertain of her feelings, Angela goes against his wishes and agrees to be used as bait to lure Lothair into the open. As the battle commences, the true struggle comes from within: Will Angela return home to the life she loves, or forsake it all to be with Rikar?

So Good, I Read in a Fury

This series is the dragon equivalent of Ward's BDB series... just as solid, sexy and full of action. The alpha males -done so well by the narrator- made me swoon, and the women are strong heroines. The overall story arc will make you want to read each book in the series.

Not bad but....

This book was just okay. Not bad mind you, just okay. Tis is the second bookof six in this series. I don't see the logic in dragons not being able to fly during the day. And why are they fighting each other? Nightfuries vs. Razorbacks, with no explanations as to why they are on opposing sides. I like the Nightfury dragons and Rykar was a favorite but I liked the captive Forge much better. The book seemed to be a mix of story lines from other books like Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood, Feehan's Carpathian Dark series and maybe Tessa Dawn's Blood Genesis series. I will continue the series and hopefully it will get better

Great Story

This is 2nd book in series and it kept the story alive and moving. It picks up where first book stops, however you can read as a stand alone. Ms. C's dragon series is so easy to fall into. Keep them coming. Please.

Love this series!

I love the Dragonfury series. I bought the 1st 2 books from iTunes when I had an iPhone. Switched to Android and bought all the books from Audible because I loved the 1st 2 so much. This is a series I'll listen to again and again. Benjamin does a bang up job with the narration. Those accents! Fabulous listen!

2nd book intro to more female & dragon characters.

Missing nurse and deaths of young females has police looking for serial killer. But, they don't know that they are dragons. The two lead detectives are added to the story line is a interesting way.. The female cop is assaulted by the VERY bad dragon and her partner (anglo male) finds out something about himself when he is face to face with a dragon. Interesting continual to the series.

skip over the erotic parts

usually I love romance books, especially the hot & heavy ones, but the sex scenes here were completely rediculous! pretty much went: 'well I just got raped, but I love you so much let's have sex anyway... and oh yeah why don't you hold my wrists and be really pushy and agressive about it' so yeah, I couldn't get into the story at all because of this. I felt like the author not only has never had any type of sexual encounter to draw from ("blissing her out" WTF), but also doesn't understand relationships or vulnerability. unfortunately I already bought the whole series in a bundle, so since I paid for them I feel obligated to finish them, which is the only reason I didn't stop listening half way through. just a little FYI to the author, no guy EVER asks/begs NOT to get a BJ!
