No warrior of the Nightfury pack is more complicated or damaged than Wick. Scarred from a childhood of slavery and torture, Wick cannot bear the touch of another person. But all bets are off when he meets J. J. Solares. When she is unjustly imprisoned, Wick agrees to help rescue and keep her from harm. But Wick lives a life of self-imposed isolation, and venturing into the world to seek justice for J. J. may be more than he can take.
Brutalized by the harsh reality of prison, J. J. thinks she is hallucinating when a majestic dark-haired god sweeps in to save her - and Wick is shaken to his core by the attraction he feels for J. J. But neither is out of harm's way yet. When they find themselves at the center of a Dragonkind war, they are forced to make the ultimate choice - surrender to their fears or accept each other's love.

I LOVED this book, it was my favorite, I can't wait for the next one I loved the characters I love the way the stories are tying together and growing. I am SO excited by this series! It is awesome!!
I liked the series and found it had entertainment and humour. I will read again
the dragons of course
I enjoyed all
have read all since reading the 1st
I didn't make it past chapter 4 or so.
Maybe if you've been following this series, you'll like the book, but I have not, this was my first one, and I couldn't get around the writing despite the perfectly acceptable performance.
The reader wasn't bad, but the story itself, meh. Very tell, not show.
Just finished and feel like I'm on some kind of high. I LOVE this series, always feel as if I'm living in the story.
Mama of two
All of his female voices sound like children and this alone is enough to make me want quit listening but, on top of that, the male voices are whiny. His narrator voice is fine.
Disappointment. Callahan seems to use the maxim of why use 1 word when you can use 47 and everything is described better by not 1, not 2, but 3 cliché phrases. While she has an impressive repertoire, at that volume, it is impossible not to over use individual phrases. And if I hear "shit kickers" one more time, I may vomit. On to the plot & characters [spoiler]: the transformation from survivors incapable of bounding -- one can't even touch other people -- to in love and inseparable, not exaggerating, in less than 72 hrs is not very credible. And talk about telling instead of showing, every single male character is described using the same set of ambiguous adjectives, lethal being top of the list. What does is mean that everyone always looks lethal? It has lost all meaning at that point. Sure, there are battle scenes that demonstrate their capacity to kill, but this is during meetings, at rest, etc. -- they all, always look lethal. I've lost track of who is who because they are all the same. And a Scot using St. Paddy's Day and green beer as a reference point? Wrong country.
So dang hot!
I love that they kept the same voice actor.
When they reviled wicks past.
I am so in love with this series.
I hate these stupid questions. Wish I could just ignore and write a review! Oh wait...I can! I completely disagree with a lot of the readers who compared this series to JR Ward's BDB. I absolutely LOATHED BDB! Thought it was juvenile and HATED the very DATED "cool" vernacular. Just sounded rediculous, awkward & embarassing. Like when your parents try to act "cool". Anyway, THIS series ROCKS!!
LOVE his narration! Spot on! Perfect!
YES, PLEASE DO AWAY WITH THESE STUPID QUESTIONS!!!
