I love that they kept the same voice actor.

Wick set me on fire

If I had to pick a favorite among the Night Furies it would have to be Wick. Damaged in way no one knew about until now. As ever the book is packed full of drama, action, intrigue, and a whole lot of mmm, mmm, mmm good. Well I'm off to get the next book.

You could read alone, but the first three books are just as good and introduces you to this man before he realises he is also a dragon, Series is a great romantic fantasy read.

Just finished and feel like I'm on some kind of high. I LOVE this series, always feel as if I'm living in the story.

I am flying thru this series. Always a little sad when each book ends, but happy when I see the next.

What a guy!!!

This series just keeps getting better and better! Each story has the best males. A lot of romance. Think "Romancing the Stone" meets "Dirty Dancing". Yup, that good.

Great story!

I loved the story. Full of passion, drama and a great narrator. Wick and JJ are a good match together.

Wick the Magic Dragon

I've been following the Dragonfury Series from the beginning, and I would suggest you do the same. Given I know the history, it's hard to judge if this book would stand alone or not, but I'm guessing not. The books in this series have a very heavy story line arc that continues from book to book.

Wick is a loose cannon, and I have a "thing" for the loose cannon heroes. Badder than bad boys, this type is truly on the edge. Think Zadist from JR Ward's Brotherhood series, Zarek from Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series. Every paranormal series seems to have a loose cannon in the mix, and they're always my favorite. Not sure what that says about me, but it gave me rather high expectations for this book, and Coreene almost delivered a home run. Almost, but not quite.

In the previous book, we learned of JJ's existence when her sister hooked up with Mac, another of the Nightfury dragon pack. In this book, we learn Wick's back story, his inability to stand another's touch and why he and Venom are so tight. The pairing of JJ and Wick brings two damaged souls together for a big old helping of loving and healing.

My only complaint is that I felt this book didn't dedicate as much time to Wick and JJ's relationship as the other books did to their main pairing. Or maybe I just wanted more. At any rate, that brought an otherwise 5 star read down to a 4 star one.

Mr Darcie is a very good narrator, but some of his male voices are a bit soft for me, including Wicks. Again, 4 rather than 5.

Those are only minor quibbles. These books are truly fantastic, and well worth your time if you are a paranormal/fantasy romance lover. It's a series I'd highly recommend to lovers of this genre.

If you have been following my reviews you know I have had luke warm feelings about this series. Book one was okay, book 2 not so great, book 3 was awesome, and this being book four is landing in the better than okay but not awesome category.

This is the story of Wick and JJ. JJ is Tanya's little sister and she has been in jail for 5 years. I think the author could have played with this relationship a bit more, had some more touching scenes rather than hey I know we haven't even kissed yet but since we are energy fused and all let's just jump into bed.

I like the back story, the world emerging is pretty cool, and I'm interested to see where all this is heading. It's still not Black Dagger Brotherhood worthy, but It's getting up there with Midnight Breed worthy.

Narrator still needs work..I'm dreading Venom's story because his voice is SOOO immature and teenager like, but Wick's voice was a bit better this go around.
